WSJ: 'Chameleon' Cruz sold voters 'bill of goods'
The Washington Examiner ^ | April 11, 2016 | Eddie Scarry

Posted on 04/11/2016 12:09:49 PM PDT by kevcol

The conservative Wall Street Journal has come out with an intensely critical editorial of Republican presidential candidate Ted Cruz for, the paper says, his "largely synthetic" aggression toward the GOP "establishment."
.
.
.
"This rage-against-the-machine bill of goods catapulted Mr. Cruz to prominence on talk radio, digital media and within a rump wing of the Republican Party," the paper said. "But the same fury also paved the way for [his rival Donald] Trump, who exploited it with a more blunt-spoken populism on immigration, trade and foreign policy ... The difference is that Mr. Cruz knows better, giving himself a chameleon, untrustworthy cast."

The fact the WSJ is criticizing Cruz is proof, IMO, that his aggression towards the GOPe is anything but ‘synthetic’.

Cruz will one day find himself on an island. He is loyal to no one or nothing but himself. And before you Cruz worshippers retort with the usual “Trump is too” nonsense, I’ll happily put up all of Trumps lifelong good deeds and friendships over this phony Ted. Everywhere this charlatan goes no one can stand him. As a Bush acolyte but they all cant stomach him. His schoolmates one and all hate him. The Senate thinks he’s a douche and it’s one of the few things they are right about.

I look forward to this guy’s comeuppance, just like i enjoy seeing Bill Clinton as a stuttering fool nowadays.

I’m not even slightly impressed with the way Ted plays fast and loose with the voter’s intent. That doesn’t bode well for how he’ll represent me if he’s president.

Teddy, you got some splainin’ to do!!!

My gripe is con artist Cruz sees a "party rule" and connives to make it work only to HIS advantage. Crux is exactly the type of candidate the Framers of the Constitution wanted the new Nation to guard against.

Cruz is fond of using the anti-vote numbers against Trump...but Cruz never applies the anti-vote to himself.

If Trump won by staggering numbers....that means Cruz lost by staggering numbers..........many many more rejected Cruz than they did Trump.

Does this look like Trump was rejected?

Trump.....8,256,309.... 37.0 1%....758 delegates

Cruz......6,319,244....28.33%.....533 (plus all he can steal)

Cruz keeps losing and losing. About time he bows out gracefully and admit he lost. And he should stop finagling the numbers.

The only Con-Artist in this election is not Hillary Clinton, Liberal Democrat or Bernie Sanders, Socialist or John Kasich, Liberal Republican or even Ted Cruz, TEA Party Conservative.

The Con-Artist is Donald J. Trump

Click the link to hear your candidate in his own words!

Was he lying them or is he lying now?

It's either one or the other. ...you tell me.

ALWAYS read the tiny print, that’s where the devious hide their true contractual intent.

The Trump campaign just didn’t reaize just how low and dirty the GOPee’s would go to push him out into the polical wilderness.

Cruz will not be the nominee....either Trump or Ryan. Cruz knows this too. The question is why is he doing this.

Cruz is a Harvard Lawyer and lifetime Government employee. What more to you need to know?

National college debate champ who grew up to win the most important gun-rights case to come before the US Supreme Court in a generation. As a freshman Senator, was willing to talk on the Senate floor for hours on end to kick his party's majority leader in the butt on national television for selling out to the Commies. And apparently knows a thing or two about retail politics as well.

How about you?

P.S. I could give you an achievement summary about Trump that would blow your mind as well. The partisan p*ssies on the sidelines in this election should be spending less energy screaming that their guy's opponent is the devil, and instead thanking God that both these men are running. Both are imperfect, but either one would make a worthy CIC in the battle to save the country.
