Yanno, I’m angry at having wasted a moment’s thought about the primary since it turns out to have been a bit of theatre, signifying nothing. But the real victims have to be the poor schlubs who poured millions of dollars into the various campaigns thinking they were buying influence. What a horrific waste of capital.
The only beneficiaries of all this are the media, whose bottom lines were augmented by billions of dollars in ad buys. What a racket.
Logical Fallacy: Changing the subject.
Get back to me with that when Trump is involved in a stunt like the one pulled in Colorado.
“GOP suicide watch “
Sad, but true...
The simple FACT is that EVEN MORE people did not vote for Cruz in the GOP primaries, thus, Cruz is a loser. Cruz in my mind will always be a loser whose ambition has precedence over his so called moral values.
I pray and feel sorry for all those who have been misled and hitched their wagon on a losing horse.
I’ll get back to the same question:
Does Trump’s concern for disenfranchised voters extend to those in states where he got a larger percentage of delegates than he did votes?
They trot out a new alternative to Cruz almost every news cycle. Nikki Haley on Fri., this guy today. And yet Cruz still thinks he has a snowball’s chance in hell of being the nominee?
“Cruz in my mind will always be a loser whose ambition has precedence over his so called moral values. “
I agree. A real con-man. And many naïve people have been taken in by him. It’s time to wake up and smell the collusion between the GOPe, Cruz, and the Dems for a Hillary presidency.
My question was in reply to a post on Trump’s position on ‘disenfranchised’ voters and applied to that subject.
NO. The problem is the American public is quite used to the concept of electoral college, where the winner takes the state.
Imagine a general election where instead of an election being held, a few hundred state residents were invited to a ballroom to select the winner of the State of Colorado.
I understand the difference between selecting a party’s nominee, but I think the people of Colorado are waking up to the fact, they have been denied the right to assemble and select their candidate.
Perhaps we are starting to see why the Republicans have a tough time turning out their base?
And I’ll answer the same.
Get back to me with that when Trump is involved in a stunt like the one pulled in Colorado.
Trump hasn’t been involved with anything remotely close to what happened in Colorado and you know it.
Trump is controlling the narrative on it now. He’s blowing it up.
He won 1 winner take all state, that being Florida. And he’s won a greater percentage of votes than any candidate in the Republican side, so your post in additional to be non-sensical is just plain ridiculous. There is no tightening battle between Cruz and Trump. Trump is going to run the next 6 and open up about a 375 delegate lead on Cruz. The media has to distract from the complete beat down that Cruz is going to receive next Tuesday so they are filling up bandwidth with nonsense like this which you and others parrot breathlessly.
I suppose being a TV celebrity in a field of 5, 7, 14 candidates provides an immediate advantage in a presidential primary. But another fact is even after all these months Trump isn't pulling any greater a percentage of the vote than he did in the beginning.
“Cruz still thinks he has a snowballs chance in hell of being the nominee?”
I try to avoid saying bad things about candidates, but in Cruz’ case, the truth is obvious: Cruz is either so deluded, ambitious, and naïve that he believes the GOPe would support him, or he is so corrupt that he is willingly letting them use him, to get rid of Trump.
Neither is a great recommendation for a presidential candidate. When are his supporters going to wake up?
The problem was that Trump was not involved in Colorado.
You can’t fault Cruz for playing the game according to the rules. Trump has not bothered to try to play.
Here’s my alternative: NO TRUMP = NO VOTE = NO MONEY $ THE GOPe EVER! There how’s that for an alternative?
Everybody in Colorado had the chance to vote for the delegates who went to the state convention.
Trump too ignorant or too lazy to get organized.
You posted a statement on Trump’s concern for disenfranchised voters.
He’s got considerably more delegates than votes proportionately. Why isn’t he concerned about them being disenfranchised?
If he isn’t why take his position and tout it?
It would seem he likes rules that benefit him and dislikes them when they don’t.
That is NOT the point. The point is voters were shut out of the process in Colorado.

That cannot be defended on any rational, moral or ethical grounds and you know it.
