Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton have double-digit leads in the race for their party’s nominations in New York.

Trump’s advantage is widespread in the Republican contest. A new Fox News poll finds he leads among men, women, every age group, every income group, and among those with a college degree and those without.

Clinton’s the top choice among Democrats, as Bernie Sanders is only able to take the lead among younger voters and men.

First, the Republicans: Trump dominates with 54 percent support among likely GOP primary voters. John Kasich garners 22 percent and Ted Cruz is third with 15 percent.

Trump holding over 50% here. Looking good to reverse the media narrative on 4/19.

Trump getting over 50 percent here will pretty much be a death blow.

Trump will dominate the Northeast on 4/19 and should win the lion’s share if not all the delegates.

New York will tell us how competitive he stands in November - watch the margins in the collar counties around NYC and upstate.

That’s where Reagan won in 1984.

I would like to see Cruz operatives try to steal all the delegate spots like they did in Arizona where Trump won the popular vote 2-1. I think that they might get a little taste of “New York values” right in the mouth.

The GOPe and Cruz will steal the delegates even if Cruz is not entitled to a single one earned during the primary. Sleazy, Lyin’ ?Ted and his GOPe cohorts don’t care about the people who vote.

The statewide Republican Party is such a joke in NY, that Cruz could probably pull off a theft here.

He’ll get less than that - New Yorkers don’t like him, period.

Ted does so poorly in the east and west coast. There is no chance he could be elected.

Cruz garnering a pathetic 15%. As for Trump winning women, I’d suggest that anyone spend a day in NYC in the summer and tell me that NYC girls are not beautiful. Summer was always my favorite season when i worked in the FiDi.

Cruz is a Great Plains/Rocky Mountains regional candidate.

In the general election, he’d take that and the South. The north and the northeast, FL and the Left Coast?

Fudgitabout it!

I fully understand and agree with Cruz's "New York values" comment. New York is a cesspool of corrupt nanny-state liberalism. The people that live in the NYC area are hopeless.

But it doesn't mean I am voting for Cruz on April 19.

15%? Cruz can’t win in the northeast.

Truth is he’s too conservative for the Republican Party.

Even in his own home state of TX, his win was spectacularly unimpressive for a favorite son.
