Cruz may have bamboozled the citizens of Texas in 2012 Senate bid

On March 10, Attorney Stephen Pidgeon, lead counsel for the North American Law Center sent a letter to Texas Secretary of State Carlos H. Cascos on behalf of a legal citizen and voter in Texas, as well as in the public interest of the nation, questioning if, when Cruz ran for, was elected and certified by the Texas Secretary of State as the new U.S. Senator representing the people of Texas, he was a legal citizen of Canada.

As of this writing, Pidgeon has not received a response.

Ted Cruz

Attached to his letter, Pidgeon provided a copy of Cruz's birth certificate indicating Rafael Edward "Ted" Cruz, was born on Dec. 22, 1970 in Calgary, Alberta, Canada.

He also attached a copy of Cruz's Certificate of Renunciation of Canadian Citizenship, whereas Cruz "formally renounced Canadian citizenship and pursuant to the Citizenship Act will cease to be a citizen on May 14, 2014."

When Cruz was born on Dec. 22, 1970 in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, Canada didn't allow for dual citizenship, indicating Cruz was only a citizen of Canada.

"However, like Obama, documents indicating how and when Cruz became an American citizen are apparently "unavailable" or non-existent.

So, when Cruz ran and was elected to the U.S. Senate in 2012, he was still a Canadian citizen and most likely did not hold dual American citizenship, as he claims.

It’s entirely possible since renouncing his Canadian citizenship in 2014 Cruz does not hold any citizenship."

Doesn’t mean anything.

Natural Born Citizen is apparently anything anyone in the judiciary or UniParty leadership says it is.

Silly things like being born to two American citizens in America are apparently antiquated and archaic concepts in the modern cosmopolitan globalist world.

We need to get used to having foreign overlords, like the son of a Mau-Mau operative from Kenya.

The writer conveniently left out the part about Cruz winning the recent challenge to his citizenship status in Pennsylvania SC. Wouldn't have lent itself to her provocative thesis.

Par for the course.

Whether he was a citizen of the US is a matter for US law, not Canadian law. Duh.

You do know that the “birther” label is party of Alinsky tactics to silence the opposition don’t you? I wouldn’t expect any kind of conservative to jump on that bandwagon.

Commonwealth Court Judge Dan Pellegrini ruled March 11 that common law precedent and statutory history maintain that an eligible candidate includes any person born to an American citizen, regardless of where.

Elliott had acknowledged that Cruz’s mother was born in the United States and has been a U.S. citizen her whole life.

If the complainant poorly presented his case, the courts would not have done his homework for him.

No Person shall be a Senator who shall not have attained to the Age of thirty Years, and been nine Years a Citizen of the United States, and who shall not, when elected, be an Inhabitant of that State for which he shall be chosen. [U.S. Constitution, Article I, section 3, clause 3]

Now unless you have something to prove he wasn’t a US citizen for at least 9 years and an inhabitant of Texas, then try again.

Obviously, Cruz should resign his Senate Seat, suspend his presidential campaign, give all his delegates to Trump, hang his head in shame for bedding five different women, being a liar, generally a sleazeball and get mental help for his god complex disorder...

Think that covers it all.../ S

The best discussion I’ve seen on the original meaning of “Natural Born Citizen”. And yes, neither Obama or Cruz meet the requirement because of who their fathers are.

...a legal citizen of Canada.

Cruz is a legal citizen of Canada. Then and now. One can tell because Cruz always had that pee wee herman style haircut.
