Sen. Chuck Schumer issued an urgent plea Monday for iGunControl ahead of the release of a new firearm that looks like a smartphone.
The .380-caliber double-barrel handgun, manufactured by Ideal Conceal, is expected to hit the shelves in mid-2016 and will only cost $395, Schumer said.

"It's clearly being marketed for nefarious purposes — 4,000 people are ready to pull the trigger on this dangerous weapon," Schumer said.

"Why would we want to make it easier for criminals or terrorists like those who attacked Paris and Brussels to wreak havoc?" he said.

I find it surprising that Sen. Schumer is not more concerned about whether it has a 30-round magazine and bayonet lug...
I daresay that’s not a particularly accurate sidearm.
He also investigates guns that look like guns.
Well made, too, from tough plastic like a Glock receiver or a Magpul mag.
The pistol sits on a little stub that goes up the barrel about 2".

“Investigation”? Investigate what? It is what it is. A two shot derringer in a very small caliber. Just about the last thing anyone would use if they want to “wreak havoc”

Won’t guns like this give police the excuse to shoot people when they are holding cell phones, say to record them, as self defense, because they look like guns?
Police have already on occasion shot blacks for reaching for their phones, thinking they had a gun.

Not the gun, it’s an ABDO holster for .380s. They have a few models to fit various small pistols. The .380 size looks like a hard case for a smart phone. The one that holds small 9mms looks like a case for a small Ipad.
