Before posting again, verify first that any photo you wish to post is not AP also known as Associated Press, Reuters, Getty Images, Corbis Images nor copyright restricted according to site of original publication, such as the photo you posted of Senator Cruz holding his young daughter, which was first published by The Houston Chronicle.
When the site of original publication requires excerpting, you are violating the copyright restrictions imposed upon Free Republic when you decide to post them anyway.
Oddly enough, like some working people, photographers like to be paid for their work. Photographers have families to support and mortgages to pay and all other expenses most people have.
Photographers also spend years and much money getting educated, practicing what they've learned, working on perfecting their skills often for just one good shot out of hundreds of photos taken daily.
They spend tens of thousands of dollars purchasing the finest cameras and equipment and then invest a lifetime of hours perfecting their craft.
The urls to the copyright restricted Getty Images photo, The Houston Chronicle and the AP / Associated Press photos you posted all on this thread alone, also had modifications added which cloaked their origination.
When you find a photo you want to post at the site where it was first published, and if the photo and the publication have no copyright restrictions, please use only the original url and refrain from using a cloaked or hidden url for the photo, or do not post it.
If you lack the inclination to locate and pay the original photographer, or the current copyright holder, don't post any copyrighted photos.
We also had to remove another one of your vulgar images. Please discontinue posting them.
