Backstage maneuvering begins in wide-open GOP chairman’s race (ROMNEY'S NIECE)
The Hill ^ | 3/31/2016 | Scott Wong

There’s a race in the Republican Party happening far away from the hot media glare, one that doesn’t involve a candidate named Trump or Twitter fights or violent protests.

In fact, you’ve probably never heard of most of the possible leading contenders.

It’s the race to succeed Republican National Committee Chairman Reince Priebus, who’s expected to step down in January 2017 after a record six years. If Donald Trump or another Republican is elected president this fall, the chairman’s contest will probably be a moot point. It’s tradition for the president to handpick the chairman of his own party.
and Ronna Romney McDaniel, Mitt Romney’s niece who serves as chairwoman of the Michigan Republican Party.

Romney clan can't win elections, so the plan is to steal the RNC and select the candidates in all races that will support their agenda.

This is why he wants Trump out. This is why he needs to WIN.

So if Trump wins, he could pick, say Ivanka to be the new RNC Chair? Cool!

It’s a tradition, not a rule.

My guess is the GOP establishment would fight tooth and nail to ensure someone hostile to Trump became chair—even if Trump won the presidency.

I’m starting to think the Republican party is an impediment that must be removed before we can move forward. I’d like to think we can turn this around by this year, but I suspect were in the middle of a multi-year fight, and have been since the original pre-Tea-Party protests in the fall of 2008 (before the Nov election) over the bail out.

In other words, we’ve been at this for at least 8 years, and I suspect it will be another 8 before we get things turned into the right direction. It’s a marathon, and we’re far from the finish line, but we are running in the right direction.

I saw this Romney woman on tv and she is friendly to Trump and sounds like a supporter. Most of the voters in her center of influence were not happy with her Uncle’s anti-Trump speech.

I was out and about in town in my car and listening to Rush...

Idiot Rush was talking today about a poll or something for the 2 Rs and 2 Ds candidates...favs and unfavs %

He was listing the names and %s and then he said “Romney...Romney’s name shouldn’t be here hes not running..”

Rush is such a liar...hes got that Cruz disease...

Romney is salivating for a broked convention...

and so I yelled at my car radio but realized since it was a warm day my window was down so I had to finish fuming in silence...

Rush is so in bed with the GOPe...

Ivanka would be more suited for VP than Chairperson of RNC.

Someone should ask him. Unfortunately, he may not be up to speed about Soros, and coming out of context it could sound kooky, and therefore counterproductive.

Your post is unreadable gibberish granny. You think Rush is an idiot? You probably voted for obama.

Matt Kibbe told me in 2010 that he did not expect the Tea Party to have a measurable effect on the presidential race until 2016. He was right on. We started with two tea party candidates. One of the remaining candidates today is a tea party guy. In addition, the Tea Party launched Rubio even though he later betrayed the movement.

That is precisely why Romney is freaking out.
I’m guessing he has quite a bit of cash in China ready to be laundered.
