Donald Trump wins this week's GOP Straw Poll in Delaware.
This week the Sussex County Republican Party held its Presidential Primary "straw poll" at the GOP Headquarters in Georgetown. While the turn-out was moderate, the results were very interesting.
Donald Trump won the poll with 72-percent of the vote; coming in second was Ted Cruz with 21- percent of the vote, followed by John Kasich with 7-percent.
The format and names on the Straw Poll ballots duplicated that of the sample ballot provided by the State Election Office in Georgetown. They included the names of Jeb Bush, Ben Carson, and Marco Rubio, but no one voted for those candidates.
County GOP Chairman Billy Carroll says he's very pleased by the enthusiasm and interest shown by the voters; he says Republicans are eager for the primary on April 26 and are ready to support the GOP candidate in November.
Maybe shocking how well TRUMP does in WI.
Cruz has been bragging about a closed primary there, BUT, Independents can register as Republican same day they vote. Nice crossover.
Methinks they won’t be lining up for Lyin’ Ted.
Also, figure by TUESDAY, Cruz and GOPE will be in for a really HUUUUUGE backlash against their dirty delegate fixing, and that little pivot will favor Trump. imho.
OMGosh!! TOO True for words!! ROTFLOLOL!
I think so too, shortstop. Give it ‘til Tuesday and TRUMP will take Cruz off at the knees.
Tuesday will be right on time for the Cruz/DC Cartel to experience BACKLASH.
I sure hope so.
Maryland possibly but Delaware not so much. And don't forget that Cruz lost the entire South, except his home state of Texas and Oklahoma.
