New surveys show close Wisconsin primary, New York delegate bonanza for Trump," by POLITICO's Scott Bland: "Donald Trump, John Kasich, and Ted Cruz are locked in a tight three-way primary in Wisconsin, with each drawing strength from different parts of the state, according to new large-sample [automated] surveys conducted at the state and congressional-district level by Optimus Consulting. Trump has a wide lead in New Yorks primary two weeks later, including majorities in most Long Island and New York City districts.
Optimus ... found Trump with 29 percent, Kasich with 27 percent, and Cruz with 25 percent support in Wisconsin. But Trump is ahead in just three of the eight congressional districts (including wide leads in the states two northern districts), while Cruz leads in two and Kasich leads in one. The other two are within the margin of error. That means small changes in the last week of campaigning in Wisconsin could have big effects on the delegate count. The statewide winner will receive 18 delegates, but an additional 24 are available three at a time to the winner of each district.
Trump leads Kasich 47 percent to 22 percent in New York, with Cruz bringing up the rear at 15 percent, according to Optimus survey. The district breakdowns also show Trump leading in every seat except one, a heavily Democratic district where the sample size was less than 100. Furthermore, Trump clears the 50-percent mark in 11 New York congressional districts ... Thats important because district winners in New York can collect all three district delegates if they win a majority of the vote there. (A statewide majority would also net Trump all 14 at-large delegates, instead of sharing them proportionally.) Trump is at 45 percent or higher in an additional half-dozen New York congressional districts, per Optimus.

My gosh. Cruz third in Wisconsin and New York. His momentum from Iowa on NEVER materialized. He’s becoming a real joke now.
Isn’t it time for Cruz to drop out of the race? He can’t afford to lose New York and still get enough delegates
This has been a charade of a primary election. The race is such a lopsided win for Trump that its ludicrous to suggest otherwise. We are stuck with a non-winner trying to steal delegates from a winner thats way out in front on so many levels and issues.
Team Cruz is efficient in weaseling out wins in a few caucus states known for their oddball and malleable vote counting methods.
Cruz won:
Virgin Islands by 30 votes
Wyoming by 480 votes
Alaska by 600 votes
Maine by 2,500.

Cruzs only way to prevail now is by pure chicanery, just how he began this campaign. Loses the entire south Florida Ohio & Virginia. LOSER
Couldn't agree more. Cruz is destroying him with his 15%!
He's not Ted Cruz, who couldn't even get 50% in his own home state of Texas.
He's an actor. He needs a stage. He's different from Obama. He needs a mirror not a monitor.
I don’t know anything about this outfit or its polling and analysis methods, but these polls are distinctly outliers from all the other polling I have seen. And, RCP does not include them in their composite polling scores.
He should have gotten out after Tuesday when he lost all 6 races. Then he stayed to the next Tuesday and won 1out of 3. So he has won 1 out of 9 races. If media was honest they would question him on this in every interview.
The Bang of 8 is taking its toll on Cruz
Thanks for posting. Welcome to Free Republic!
Yep Cruz is a loser. The liberal media is supporting him because not only will Hillary destroy him but if he ends up president the lobbyists and global economy will continue. Jobs will be lost. Recession will hit or worse. Long gas lines. Congress will laugh at him like they always have and do nothing to help Cruz. He’d be a 1-term disaster president that makes americans wish for carter and Obama again.
It sure is. Media waiting to see if he steals the nomination and then it will be 24/7.
No, no, no. He is actually doing well. It’s all part of his plan. (Sarcasm)
You are quite simply the most irritating poster on this board. I’m sure your experiences span the far and wide in Iowa.
Yeah how can I forget. Lol.
Like Senator from Texas Cruz getting 44 percent in Texas?
Lol you walked right into that one
