I’ll tell you why. Because half of the Trump supporters on this thread can’t defend their position UNLESS they attack Cruz.

I’ve tried and have failed miserably. I don’t like to fail. It is an effort to get a Trumper to defend their guy on any position or statement without them mentioning Cruz.

I’ve even asked them to without mentioning Cruz and they’re still unable to.

What, you expected the cabinet to be all assembled now?

What other president’s has?

One thing he has done already, however, is played very successfully in a supposedly exclusive ball game.

Well, Donald’s best virtue may be in waking up the silent, but cowed majority. The cows will become cowboys once the Boss is supporting them.

What Trump proposes to do is to stop the things that keep America from being great again.

In Obama’s case, the threats he tilted against were harmless bugbears.

In Trump’s case, the threats he fights are real.

Cruz’s failings are the cherry on top, to me. Trump puts together a pretty good sundae as it is.

Assuming that he's forsaken some of his left leaning NYC values.

He’s been kind of amoral and Machiavellian.

And so what. He leaned left when that prospered the cause he embraced.

The cause he embraces now calls for a center-right stance, and that’s where Trump is going.

Who would want to even try to be a presidential candidate today, anyhow? It’s like swimming in a sewer with skunks. This multibillionaire must be convinced that he can do some good, or else he would never have put himself to the pain.

Why have those businesses left America? They were forced out because in America profit became a dirty word.

Government thru higher business taxes, oppressive environmental laws, corrupt tax laws and crooked regulations forced them to go elsewhere.

Those busineses that played along with the corrupt government have fared very well, others have chosen not to play the game and moved production elsewhere.
The way u get these businesses back is by making America free and friendly toward business again.

Threats to tax them with a huge tariff tax does not bother them, they will pass it on in the price of the goods. It is the consumer that will suffer and bear the brunt of the tax.

Trump nor any other politician can tax America into prosperity. Free and fair trade and capitalism is the answer.
Why are Trumpsters so afraid of competition when it is good for American consumers, especially the working class Americans?

Looking to Trump and to higher taxes will only continue the erosion and the destruction of the middle class.

If Trump is such a savior and defender of the middle class why has he and does he continue to support the very people that have brought about all the misery we have before us.

Please tell me how he can speak so fondly of Harry Reid, Nancy Pelosi, Chuck Schumer, and Hillary Clinton and still claim the mantle of looking out for 6he middle class.

His support for theseveral folks belies all of his rehortic. BUT,I wo8ldn’t expect you to understand that.

Trump’s answer is always more and bigger government intrusion, ie 45 percent tariff tax to be paid for by the working class.

Yes it is since if its needed then we are better off manufacturing here and getting Jobs here. Either have a level playing field for free-trade or be a globalist anti-American.

We cannot survive the current status-quo.

I couldn’t agree with u more. I don’t favor our current policies but neither do I favor a 45 percent tariff tax to be paid by the middle class.

That would be suicide for 6he American economy.

How do you explain the fact his employees former wives and vast majority of business associates say Trump is an honorable man who keeps his word and is a straight shooter?

Unlike the DC insider Ivy League Lawyer you fight for.

Do you have any GOPe propaganda of Trump that is post 911?

That day changed a lot of people. Especially people in NYC. Besides Trump has been a republican since the 80s but hey if you’re for the DC Insider Ivy League lawyers then you should be used to them acting indistinguishable as democrats by drafting NAFTA, pushing the NAU and handing out teddy Bears to illegals at the border.

I wish I could share your optimism but, between the American people electing 0bama twice and the betrayal at the hands of our Republican congress critters, I’m afraid that I’ve lost all hope for a return to constitutional limitations of the federal government and a return of the once great American Way.

It’s been nice having a civil discussion with you. Thanks.
