A roller-coaster election season looks like it could go off the rails with a possible contested GOP presidential convention in July.Gargiulo, one of 11 New Hampshire delegates Trump is sending to Cleveland, is bracing for a close finish — maybe even an attempt at a convention fight, given Cruz and Kasich remain in the race.

It would not be without consequences for the party, he contends. -

I hope that Republicans come to their senses, before it's too late.

Just a reminder of how the GOPe already sold us out and is supporting a Hillary presidency:

Trump's crime is that he exposed the sham that the whole primary process is.

Why do we even need primaries? Screw 'em. Just have the general election. And move it to April 16th.

++++
What do you mean? None of this would even be under discussion if Trump was popular enough to win a majority of the delegates. If he squeezes past the required 1237 he will be the nominee. If he doesn't then the nomination is very likely to go to someone else.

You will hear that the GOPe leaders will handpick the winner. You can buy that if you like. I happen to believe that the delegates will pick the winner. Some may be under the thumb of the GOPe but I just don't believe there are enough captured delegates to give them control of the process.

If he doesn’t then the nomination is very likely to go to someone else.////

Even if they are way behind in the delegate count, assuming they’re even running. Sleazy.

In previous primary seasons, candidates with no chance of winning on the 1st ballot would withdraw and let the front runner get his majority by the rules.

This season a candidate who needs 90% of the remaining delegates wants to fight to the bitter end, with all the rancor and slime, to keep the front runner from getting his majority. Then he (and his gullible supporters) hope to steal the front runners delegates and take the nomination.

If Ted had any integrity at all he would “pull out.”

If Trump needed 90% of the remaining delegates at this stage, I’d be calling for him to suspend as well.

The most conservative who can win is not Trump.

Trump is about to destroy the republican party. That will be one down and he will have one more to go the democrats. He is developing great creds for the job.

If that slime-ball Ted Cruz would just give up and drop out.

It's not fair Trump has to get 1237 delegates to win.

The system is well defined. No majority and it goes to the delegates. Right now, this very instant, both Trump and Cruz are working their respective tails off wheeling and dealing to get delegates that will be loyal to themselves selected for the convention. They understand the system. They are both working the system.

That is the way the system works. Nobody ever quits until there is no chance of victory. You are dreaming if you think “The System” requires candidates to be gentleman and resign once someone gets a bit of a lead.

Don’t worry GOPe there won’t be any fight. Between taking Sanders disrupters side and the CUBAN MISTRESS CRISIS Cruz is finished and all that is left is mopping up. BTW which states does Cruz take on Northeast Super Tuesday?

The GOP has concluded it’s death rattle, slipped into a coma, and is currently dead. It is “the formerly grand, old party. The funeral will be at its convention in Cleveland. The party bosses have falsely detected a weak pulse, but the rest of us are smelling the rotted corpse. The party was tone deaf, ignored the TEA Party, sided with Obama, Reid, Pelosi, and gave Barry a budget deal that is a debt-generator. McCain, McConnell, Ryan, Boehner all stood by and covered their butts for a long time. The fruits of their efforts killed the GOP. They wanted to “make a bigger tent”, Trump did that, and they hate him for it. Long live Queen Hillary.

Some may be under the thumb of the GOPe but I just don't believe there are enough captured delegates to give them control of the process.

What do you base that on?

“It’s not fair Trump has to get 1237 delegates to win. “

That’s the rule. Cruz needs the same 1237. Problem is, if Trump doesn’t get there, he would have destroyed not only the Republican Party but conservatism also. Just look at this site. Until Trump got in the race, Cruz was the overwhelming choice here as the candidate that will save Conservatism and America.

And now with a 100% heritage rating and the backing of Levin, Cruz has been turned into a liberal clown by someone whose only message is “I will build a wall and make Mexico pay for it.” Now, Levin is a moron, Rush is worthless and Meghan Kelly, who we once had rules for is a bitch.

And we get to thank Donald Trump for it. All I have to say is he better win, because if he doesn’t, there will no longer be any conservative voices, there will be a liberal SCOTUS to go with a liberal legislative and executive branch of government. And as soon as that happens, there will be a fairness doctrine, the final battle in the war on religion, gun control and every one of our rights taken from us.

There will not be a damn thing we can do about it. And whoever comes here and says we will fight, just remember the reason we got to this point in the first place was we fought against each other instead of the real problem.
