The Behind-the-Scenes Delegate Fight to Stop Donald Trump
NBC News ^ | March 26, 2016 | Benjy Sarlin and Jane C. Timm

The Republican race, fought until now in high-profile state contests and made-for-TV debates, is turning into a shadow war.

Donald Trump's dominant delegate lead means that neither Sen. Ted Cruz nor Ohio Gov. John Kasich can realistically win the nomination outright. But the split in the party also means Trump will have a tough time securing the 1,237 delegates needed to win as well, possibly falling just short of his goal.

If no one hits the magic number, there will be a contested convention in Cleveland this July, meaning the vast majority of delegates eventually would be allowed to vote for anyone they choose.

Making matters more difficult for Trump, candidates rarely choose their own delegates. Instead, in 44 states there's a patchwork selection process across local and statewide conventions that are sometimes controlled by

They are really working to set things up so Trump won't be the nominee and the chosen one will lose gracefully to Hillary.

Tech billionaires (major Dem donors) plot with GOP leaders at exclusive island resort

http://nypost.com/2016/03/08/tech-billionaires-plot-with-gop-leaders-to-stop-trump-at-exclusive-island-resort/

Billionaires, top tech CEOs and leading figures of the GOP establishment gathered on an island off the coast of Georgia this weekend for a conference where the main topic was how to stop Donald Trump, according to a new report.

The business and party bigs’ strategy sessions came at the American Enterprise Institute’s annual World Forum on Sea Island, The Huffington Post reported, citing sources familiar with the gathering.

Yep, they’ve been planning on a contested convention since before the beginning. The fix was already in.

TRUMP BALLOT SECURITY PROJECT
Committee to Restore America’s Greatness PAC
FR Posted 3/19/16 by Albion Wilde

The Trump Ballot Security Project (TBSP) was formed when the main stream media reported dozens of voting irregularities in the Texas Republican primary. This ultimately totaled over 600 reports in at least six counties including Dallas County and Travis County. In virtually every case votes cast for Donald J. Trump were tallied for Senator Marco Rubio.

(NOTE:CRUZ IS STEALING DELEGATES LEFT AND RIGHT)
<><> the Iowa fiasco where Cruz stole Ben Carson/s delegates by lying saying Carson was dropping out, telling supporters to caucus w/ Cruz.
<><> Even though @realDonaldTrump won delegates in Texas the @TedCruz- @georgepbush #RickPerry cabal is refusing to slate Trump supporters.)
<><> In Utah w/ Beck and Romney running the show, the Cruz team emailed supporters the day of the caucus, telling them they can vote absentee that day. This is in violation of state law.

===========================================

The TBSP established a Toll Free number to collect further reports of voter irregularities.

Almost immediately there were over 300 complaints from Oklahoma. Only a week later the Kansas and Maine Caucuses brought hundreds of more complaints including claims of double voting by supporters of Sen. Ted Cruz.

Now we are focused on Arizona, Utah, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and California. To the extent possible, we are attempting to place trained poll watchers in those counties with a recent history of voter fraud.

The Trump Ballot Security Project is committed to investigating all complaints of voter fraud. In the event a pattern can be determined, the seating of these delegations can and will be challenged before the Credentials committee of the Republican National Convention.

We have dispatched lawyers and election law experts to all of the states mentioned above to investigate and document voter fraud. NOTE The Trump campaign is not currently devoting resources to this important function.

TBSP is a project of the Committee To Restore America's Greatness

I'm sorry, but people that believe this are suckers. There's not going to be some brokered convention. This "delegate fight" nonsense is the same stuff Ron Paul supporters used to spew.

The media wants drama, because people eat it up.

PASS THE WORD——DO THIS NOW: File for open delegate seats in your County and State. Delegate registration is a great opportunity to control the committees at the National Convention. That can make a lot of difference for Trump and the forces lined up against him. Just attend and or register for the open delegate seats at the County level. (hat tip WINDHOVER)

Majority Threshold 'Unfair' in G.O.P. Nomination Process, Donald Trump Complains #24
Posted March 20, 2016 2:12:47 PM PDT by nhwingut
Trump has far more delegates than both Romney and McCain at the same time in history. The GOPe always, along with media allies, convinces all to drop out for "the good of the party" and coalesce around the leader. Now they're doing the exact opposite.

Further, Trump is on pace to have more votes than McCain and Romney COMBINED.

The more I see this kind of crap being pulled on Trump, the more I believe people will be supporting him. Will the GOP ever figure it out? I think NOT!

While I am still teetering on the fence as to who I would vote for, the more I hear about the crooked deals and underhanded politics tells me to VOTE TRUMP. The bastards in the GOP and entire bunch of crooked politicians are causing me to lean that way, it is NOT what Trump is preaching but he must be striking a deep fear in all of them who are working soooooooooooooo hard to dethrone him. What Trump is doing has certainly gotten their attention, too bad they didn’t do the same thing when they let odumbo steal the election, not once but twice. The bastards need to be driven out of DC and gubmint altogether.

I now assume there is an 80% chance Trump will be stopped. This is going to be a disaster.

Let’s hope Trump and his supporters are smarter than the GOPe, and enough vote for him so he can reach the magic 1237 going into the convention.

Cruz has no chance. If Cruz were smart and decent, he would withdraw and release his delegates to vote for Trump.

“While I am still teetering on the fence as to who I would vote for, the more I hear about the crooked deals and underhanded politics tells me to VOTE TRUMP.”

On the radio the other day, Ben Carson was asked what he had learned from the campaign. He answered that he had learned that the fix is in, that the “political class” runs things. Then he said we needed someone who was not a member of the political class.

Who is that but Trump?

We elect our delegates for each Congressional district, and they’re identified by candidate preference.

Cruz has no chance.

Cruz has a small chance at 1,237 but a pretty good shot at beating Trump's count on the first ballot and Trump would then be toast.

Trump has obviously lost Colorado.

El Paso County (Colorado Springs) has 30%+ of the delegates to the State Convention which will elect Colorado’s national delegates in less than 2 weeks. The Straw poll yesterday of the County delegates went 71% for Cruz, Trump 18%, a harbinger of what’s coming at the State Convention.

All the delegates to State have already been elected. The cake is baked.

"Waaa, Waaaa, Cruz is working harder while Trump thinks he will win the first ballot so is doing nothing."

Donald's been on vacation for a week, while Cruz is stepping it up, and Cruz is very methodical, knows how to organize, while Donald is thinking flashy rallies are all he needs. Cruz is going to win the nomination, by majority vote.
