I think the GOPe thinking on this is that if they can steal it from Trump , insert Romney or some other GOPe hack, they can smooth it over by putting Cruz in the VP slot ...
Now HOW can THIS be? Why everybody knows 100% of women and 100% of men hate Trump. That’s what they tell us anyway. BTW didn’t you notice that you see the same people at every Trump rally? They’re not really supporters. They’re just paid actors who travel by bus around the county to show up and get paid to be seen on camera.
Yeah Trump has hit that critical mass the plus 50% mark. So when you see [push] polls outside of Utah makes them all suspect.
That's my thinking, too. I really don't want Cruz taken out like this. It is much better to win at the ballot box. Notable is that Drudge has been silent.

The French are much more realistic. The last French president elected President Hollande had both his mistress and his wife at the inaugural. Seriously! Everyone knew it and they were all ok with it.
Basically male presidential candidates need regular servicing as well as a wife to do all the serious stuff. They are kind of like sister wives. Maybe that is why the Mormons are ok with it and Romney is so supportive. Mormons have a history of polygamy and sister wives.

If Cruz had been a humble sinner, just bumbling along, not making his Christianity THE thing that lifts him above Trump, then the affairs would just be noise.
But his and his supporters “I’m much more moral that Trump” BS has come back to bite him in the arse.
And rightly so.

That is the whole point. The French president with his mistresses and wife does not run around claiming to be the standard bearer of piety and Christian morality. People don’t really care that he could by a flea infested butt sniffing hound. They do care that he could be scamming them when it comes to religion
