All of a sudden, my Malwarebytes is popping up continuously with one of the following two messages:
It's happening as soon as I open my Google Chrome browser, and seems to happen no matter what website I'm at.
What is going on and how do I get it to stop?
As always, thanks in advance.
Backup your important files right now. This smells like ransomware and if it is then when you restart your computer you’re going to lose it all.
Look it up on another computer with a Google search for the answer.
Is your MWB the free version?
Also try this too...it can help your machine from connecting to known bad and adware type sites.

No. I have a paid subscription.
Good advice. (besides, it doesn’t hurt)
If it is the free version, it blows. Download TDSSKILLER as it looks like a rootkit. Forget the backup nonsense for now and run it.
I’m getting the same thing when I use firefox. Paid version of malwarebytes
Also uninstall Chrome.
You can reinstall it later. but use a different browser as well.
Check your chrome add-ons to see if there’s anything suspicious.
It’s also possibly DNS Unlocker. Go to a webpage like speedtest.net and see if ads pop up (not the normal ads on the side, ads popping up that say ADS by DNS Unlocker).
If it’s DNS Unlocker, you’ll need hijack this from https://sourceforge.net/projects/hjt/ to remove the embedded IP addresses under O17 (shows a weird IP address). Then you’ll need to basically flush your DNS and reset Chrome.
You could always install Linux and eliminate the problems.
I wouldn’t use kaspersky. They have Russian links to some bad juju.
LMAO!!!! Good one! As if Linux is 100% safe.
With that said, from the link provided by MeganC, it looks like a false positive. Update MalwareBytes and it should resolve.

Very interesting that all the posters at the link you provided appear to have started having the same problem within the past half hour.
I am getting this as well since this morning! I have no viruses and Malwarebytes has not detected a darned thing!
Since you have the paid version, you can contact Malware bytes tech support and request assistance. https://support.malwarebytes.org/?b_id=6400
You have something in your computer that is attempting to contact those two sites, and you are going to have to find and kill whatever it is that is trying to make that connection.
This is a possible hint:

What does it mean when I get an alert that Malwarebytes Anti-Malware has blocked a malicious site?
Malwarebytes Anti-Malware will alert users when network traffic is blocked to a website, URL, or IP address that has been found to host malicious content. Since the network traffic is blocked, the malicious IP address is unable to connect to your computer - In most cases nothing needs be done, our protection has blocked the threat from infecting you.
Users who run peer-to-peer (P2P) programs will see these alerts frequently, due to the heavy amount of malicious addresses used by these programs. If you use these applications and would like to know more, please read this help article: Why does Malwarebytes Anti-Malware block BitTorrent or other Peer to Peer Clients?
If you use Skype, and are receiving alerts frequently, please read the following article: Why does Malwarebytes Anti-Malware block Skype?
If you receive these alerts while no browser is open and there are multiple IPs listed, your system may be infected. Please contact support immediately to have them assist in removing the infection. If you have additional questions or need assistance with this particular scenario, please contact support.
