WASHINGTON, D.C., March 21, 2016 (LifeSiteNews) – The National Survey of Family Growth concludes that while more and more Americans support homosexual "marriage," they simultaneously support marriage less and less.
The U.S. Health and Human Services survey, using data from 2011 to 2013, revealed increasing apathy toward marriage in general and a disconnect from the positive role marriage should play in families and individuals.
Sixty percent of women ages 15-44 say sodomy is "all right" (up from 42 percent in 2002). Seventy-five percent of women say gay couples should be able to adopt vulnerable children (up from 55 percent). Among men, approval of homosexual adoption is up from 47 percent in 2002 to 68 percent.
Seventy-eight percent of women say it's perfectly fine to bear children out of wedlock (up from 70 percent). And nearly three quarters of both men and women are okay with unmarried, cohabiting couples raising a child without even planning a wedding.
Marriage has become so disconnected from sex and children that a majority of young adults defend fornication on moral grounds, saying cohabitation "helps prevent divorce" later on.
Family Research Council senior fellow Peter Sprigg says the results are not surprising, because the politically correct approval of homosexuality goes hand in hand with decaying morals.
"Greater acceptance of the homosexual movement tends to reinforce the breakdown of traditional norms with regard to sexual behavior among heterosexuals as well," the Washington Times quotes the pro-family leader as saying. "I think the two things are mutually self-reinforcing."
"I think it is very unfortunate," Sprigg said. "The idea that cohabitation will somehow prevent divorce has been completely debunked by the social science. We have a lot of research on that, and it's quite clear that people who cohabit before marriage and more likely to get divorced, not less."
Ed Vitagliano, executive vice president of the American Family Association (AFA), told LifeSiteNews, "So the American public has rejected what God has clearly communicated about mankind in nature – that we are male and female? We have ignored what nature says about marriage? Then we should not be surprised when our ignorance only increases."
"As a people, we are embracing same-sex marriage, which results in despising the gift of male-female marriage itself," Vitagliano explained. "We can expect the darkness to only increase."
The pro-family leader then noted what the Bible teaches about how, when men turn away from what is natural, they turn away from the Creator. "Sometimes Christians read Romans 1:18-32 as if the passage is only about homosexuality, when it is about so much more than that. It is about seeing God in nature and rejecting Him," Vitagliano said. "Then a downward death spiral commences."
Romans 1:18-32, written by the Apostle Paul, talks about "men who by their wickedness suppress the truth." It explains that the existence of God "is plain to them," because God has shown "His eternal power and deity" through creation, and thus, God "has been clearly perceived in the things that have been made." Men who refuse to acknowledge and honor God "or give thanks to Him" become "futile in their thinking and their senseless minds ... darkened. Claiming to be wise, they become fools[.]"
The AFA's Ed Vitagliano offers hope out of mankind's malaise. "The good news is that the rest of Romans points the way out of the darkness," he told LifeSiteNews. "Perhaps God will grant the repentance necessary – both inside and outside of the church – so that revival might come."
"Then the spiral down into deeper darkness will halt, and light can flood the land once again."
That's because the left's goal has NEVER been "marriage equality," it has been the DESTRUCTION of marriage.

As fewer people get married then one of the last bastions of marriage will end up being in the polygamous communities.

Tolerating deviancy never works. For deviants will always seek the next lowest level. Accept men marrying men today and tomorrow they will be looking for us to accept a marriage of three people. A civilization needs laws, morals, pride, and a positive cultural identity. Folks need to have an identity in families, communities, nations, other positive organization.
If folks aren't held to a high standard and some shared responsibility, too many let their inner beast take over.

It is CRUCIAL for the elites to destroy early childhood and get children away from the biological mother/father paradigm. Christianity is the ONLY worldview which could create the Age of Reason and Individualism which existed in America for over a hundred years before the Revolution. Families were self-sufficient and free in America which was unknown to all European cultures at the time-—male/women equal partnering which was close to Natural Law (Design/Roles) to raise Common Sense, independent thinkers who refused to be conditioned to fear disagreeing with large “groups”. They couldn’t be controlled or programmed (MSM) and have their attitudes and emotions controlled by “group (non) think” elites who owned all MSM since 1917-—so they could control what children “think” and “feel”——Up is Down, Good is Evil. The Progressives (Marxists) knew that getting young children hooked into their screens/radio-agitprop would program their emotions and attitudes-—they could force the masses to smoke-—go to war-—ANYTHING-—as long as they could get to the minds of children (media/culture (Edward Bernays/Freud’s nephew).
Parents now allow perverts/strangers to program their very young children with their satanic/pagan worldview 24/7 if they set them in front of the TV or radio, etc.
There is ONLY one worldview capable of creating Free Will and Individual Natural Rights from God which is embedded in the early childhood years where children see the loyalty of mother to one father (true equality) and visa verso. When that loyalty/trust/design in Natural Law (science) is divided or destroyed-—the Worth of the child is shattered—Common Sense is made difficult and the childhood trauma creates no trust-—no unity-—collapse of culture.
Multiple unrelated people create chaos when not tied to biology-—and jealousy and hate and chaos is greater with “more” people. It is hard enough to deal with one other person intimately without jealousy and hate.
God designed male and female for that commitment and devotion which gives stability and meaning (past/future/present) to a child (individualism/uniqueness)-—that they NEED to survive and flourish without all the emotional baggage and ability to be controlled by groups with the loss of virtue (ability to think outside the box) which collapses cultures.
There is nothing normal or natural about homosexuality.

The denigration of our society was accelerated by the acceptance of oontraception by the Anglican Church in the twenties, which resulted in a lack of respect for both mean’s and women’s nature and a subtle encouragement to toss away sexual self mastery.
It was further helped along by Playboy mentality, no fault divorce, Gay rights which meant gay acceptance and finally gay marriage.
Who imposed it on us? Who bought into it? What is the remedy?
It's beyond that. There are three levels of accommodation: tolerance, acceptance, and approval. We are now being forced by the government action to 'approve' of actions that run contrary to our basic moral compass, especially if we work for the federal government (and maybe a state government).
Under the law, we must 'tolerate' homosexuals that are "married" -- but it's come to the point that you risk your employment if you so much as express disapproval for the misapplication of the institution of marriage. So we are often required to tolerate, and even approve of homosexual marriage, and if we don't we risk our ability to make a living.
As for me, I will tolerate homosexual "married" couples to the extent I must under the law (I won't actively harass them or proselytize to them on a personal level when encountered in a job-related or casual setting). But I will NEVER approve of their "marriage" (meaning invite them into my circle of friends or acquaintances); nor will I EVER approve of their unholy "marriage" (heap praise on, or otherwise promote the perverse corruption of the institution of marriage).
Tolerate = You don't beat them up when you encounter them in a public or private setting. The minimum level of accommodation, under the law.
Accept = You don't mind if you meet and interact with them in a social setting, because you have no preference regarding their status. You don't take sides.
Approve: You are willing to help them advance the institution of homosexual marriage, such as by taking charge of activities that promote or celebrate the idea at your place of employment.

Interesting that you say that, I seem to recall some here at FR defending homosexuals from any association with pedophiles or pedophilia. I think there is a link, though, and you can see it in pop culture, and even anticipate this behavior if you're in a social setting where they are present.
We must be wary if we leave our children entrusted to adults, in any setting where they are alone with them.
For example, I quit supporting the Boy Scouts after their leadership voted to allow homosexual Scoutmasters (their first mistake, even though there was a supreme court decision that protected them -- they did it because of perceived fundraising issues). It was an easy decision for me, and I had strong bonds to the institution as an Eagle scout.
No surprise... Holland has allowed homo marriage since the early 2000s. The predominant experience is that allowing homo marriage did not create a society where homos actually marry (yes there are a few).... it instead created where every year since then, fewer and fewer of anybody gets married. In another decade at the going rate of decline, marriages will almost be unheard of. This is a fairly powerful argument against the commonly held meme which is that “what they do won’t affect me”.
