Ted Cruz Refuses to Disavow Lindsey Graham Endorsement
Breitbart ^ | 3/21/2016 | JULIA HAHN

Posted on 03/21/2016 7:50:28 AM PDT by 20yearsofinternet

*snip*

Trump surged as the Republican Party’s frontrunner on his campaign platform of deporting illegal aliens, promoting trade deals that prioritize the interests of American workers, and rejecting the party elites’ desire for increased military adventurism.

Ted Cruz, by contrast, wrote an op-ed urging Congress to fast track Obama’s Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP). No fast-tracked trade agreement has ever been defeated.

Sen. Graham’s energetic endorsement of Cruz – and Cruz’s refusal to disavow the endorsement of a man who many believe betrayed the American people with his unyielding push for mass migration – will no doubt raise questions as to whether Cruz still supports his 2013 amendments to radically expand immigration.

Graham, as a backer of the 2013 Rubio-Schumer amnesty plan and the 2007 McCain-Kennedy amnesty plan before that, is perhaps the Republican Party’s most outspoken proponent of open borders immigration policies.

Perhaps more than anyone, Sen. Graham has attacked GOP voters, lawmakers, and thinkers for opposing mass migration policies.

And I seem to remember being told that Cruz was at fault because “He can’t even get one Senator to endorse him” by the same people faulting him now for getting this endorsement.

This is SO ridiculous. A) that it’s fricking breaking news...wtf and B) Cruz didn’t endorse Linda. Who cares who endorses him, it’s the other way around that you need to be worried. And Trump ENDORSED several radical liberals both with words and money.

This is bullshit

I am a Trump supporter who despises Chris Christie, so I agree with your opinion.

Outside of his college roommate, I don't think Cruz even HAS any friends.

You forgot the sarcasm tag, the only interview I saw with one of Ted's college roommates, the guy said he was scared to death of Ted becoming president. Ted is a long time high functioning alcoholic and they don't keep friends. This is very well documented. His daughter recoiling from him at an early campaign event was completely consistent with this.

How is your response relevant to the question asked?

It's very relevant. You thought that Christie's endorsement of Trump would have the same poisonous impact as Graham's endorsement of Rafael. But it's not. It was nothing more than a cheap false equivalency argument that blew up in your face.

Donald Trump will not get 1237 delegates before the GOP convention. With Rubio out, Ted Cruz will win more of the remaining delegates than Trump.
It's going to come down to the convention, same as Reagan versus Gerald Ford in 1976. I still remember all these jokers calling on Reagan to withdraw before the convention.

I know it’s pointless to point out facts and reality to certain people, because they just won’t hear of it, but Ted is not wearing any mask. He’s the same guy he’s been since forever.

He has always been FOR the Constitution. He has always worked to uphold that Constitution. Everything he has worked for has been to RESTORE the Constitution.

Those who continue to slander him, twist facts, twist stories, use and believe the misinformation that is spread by the left and the haters on the right, are working against the Constitution.

THAT is what’s going on here. This election is about supporting a candidate that is first and foremost SOLIDLY about putting the Constitution back in power. You are either ON the side of the Constitution or you are not. Plain and simple.

I don’t feel like he needs to do that to a colleague’s endorsement. I don’t know what Graham said exactly, but he absolutely SHOULD disavow Romney because Romney said specifically to vote for Ted so they could get who they could get a brokered convention and get the GOPe pick. I would imagine Graham’s intentions are the same. If he said as much, then Cruz should disavow.

That’s what is ridiculous about this thread. Trump, who will very likely win the nomination, will get over 100 GOPe endorsements eventually (as he should!) and not disavow one of them. What will all his fans say then?

Ted Cruz is in this for one reason and one reason only: to WIN the nomination and the Presidency. Any suggestion to the contrary is eyewash. Pig eyewash.

Yeah....and I wouldn't expect him to do anything differently than what he's doing. Breitbart is getting ridiculous in their Trump mania.

Sure he is. The guy that was born in Canada and was a Canadian Citizen less than 2 years ago is the only constitutional candidate running for president. /s

Nope. No sarcasm. His friend's name is David Panton. They were roommates at Princeton and Harvard.

It could be that he was also the first and only real friend Cruz ever had.

Because Christie cut his losses and joined Trump’s winning team. Beats backing Cruz with his kill-the-gays pastor friends.

Graham is the antithesis of conservatism. He is an open border, amnesty and voting rights advocate for illegal alien!! He is a globalist interventionist. He is for free trade TPP, NAFTA WTO.
Cruz is not a conservative like he purports to be if he is for the things Graham is for. This flushes Cruz out but not as mush as he is exposed by his embrace of Glen Beck!!

These circular firing squads need to end.

Absolutely agree! But, it's the GOPe/Democrats, who are decidedly anti-Trump, forming the circle.

With Rubio out, Ted Cruz will win more of the remaining delegates than Trump.

You're assuming that all non-Trump voters will automatically go to Cruz. Cruz is almost as disliked by many liberal/moderate Republicans as Trump, so former Rubio/Bush voters are just as likely to not vote at all, or even vote for Trump as they are to vote for Cruz.

While a candidate is not responsible for the positions of every supporter,

LINDA GRAHAM STINKS!

Cruz should run as far and fast as he can away from Linda and Mittens.

You are wasting your time. Haters gotta hate........and they don't care who Cruz is...or the fact that two/three years ago, he was the hero of the RINO rebellion.

He's standing in Trump's way and must be "destroyed".

It makes me wonder if Obama's campaign managers are working for Trump....since the last time I saw this much rancor thrown at a Republican candidate was when Obama was running.
