I didn't know AK barrels could talk. Learn something everyday.
student David Kalenga told authorities he heard and saw the barrel of an AK-47 in a men's bathroom at Ullsvik Hall.
Is this the student, David Kalenga of Madison, who reported the incident?
Man, 19, Accused of Stealing 117
Gallons of Gas from Highway Dept.

At the follow up meeting, the officer (from NY) announced that while they hadn't found the jackets, they did find 14 guns.
The battalion commander asked if the weapons were clean. The officer did not know. To which the battalion commander asked, "What good is a health and safety inspection, if you don't find out if the men are properly maintaining their weapons?" After a good laugh, we moved onto the next point of business.
Whoa.
No doubt the results will come back after a couple of weeks of full inspection and evaluation by teams of the finest forensic experts. Who knows... perhaps costs and labor might run north of $500 or so?
On the other hand, they could simply inspect the information on the base of the casing and get all the info they need - even if it is written in Russian. However, that would not be "official", would it?
Besides, a "complete" police report is needed so all the terrorized Snowflakes can be satisfied and their anxieties eased.

-and if they weren't fired vertical that had to be the unluckiest roof in the area--
It was a 100,000 sq ft warehouse in East San Jose, CA (hispanic gang area). A big target and a lot of firing on new years, believe me. ;-)
These internet gun sales are outrageous! Do the sellers upload their guns through the USB port? Does it work with USB 2.0 or USB 3.0?
Comment of the week. Well said.
UWP is my alma mater. I graduated HS with Bjarne Ullsvik’s daughter.
Maybe it was a transgender AK-47.
Now we have to soundproof our gun cabinets?
This smells like week old fish.
Some liberal college student knows what the barrel of an AK47 looks like? Pretty unlikely.
That said, I can imagine the conversation at the Sheriff's department. "Whazzat?" "It's a bullet from the U campus. Can you analyze it?" "Uh, it's a cartridge." "So what? We want to know who fired it and at what. "Uh, it's a cartridge." "Well, are there any rifling marks or micro-stamps or anything that could tell us what crime it was used in?" "Uh, it's a cartridge. It hasn't been used on anything yet." "Fingerprints? Voiceprints? Can you get some scent for the dogs to track?" "You've been watching too much TV." "Alloy analysis? Radiocarbon dating? DNA samples?" "You've been listening to too much NPR." "Well, what can you tell us about it?" "It's a cartridge."
Watch the video of this expert who always goes to the gun range and knows an ak47 barrel when he sees (and hears) one. :)
Maybe if they use their “enhance” button they can figure it out.
No, you idiot, those are safety devices which convert deadly weapons into toys. They sell them on eBay for a dollar each.
