Beyond record hot, February was 'astronomical' and 'strange'

WASHINGTON (AP) -- Earth got so hot last month that federal scientists struggled to find words, describing temperatures as "astronomical," ''staggering" and "strange." They warned that the climate may have moved into a new and hotter neighborhood.

This was not just another of the drumbeat of 10 straight broken monthly global heat records, triggered by a super El Nino and man-made global warming.

Notice that they are now saying things like 'due to El Ninjo AND man-made global warming' with absolutely no proof to back the claim up that man's contribution of CO2 to the atmosphere, which by the way amounts to just 0.00136% of the atmosphere, is responsible for any warming above and beyond what El Ninjo is causing

[["Everything everywhere is a record this month, except Antarctica," Blunden said. "It's insane."]]

Well yeah, that's what happens in El Ninjo years- how about providing even a scintilla of evidence that man's piddly contribution of CO2 to the atmosphere has made the earth warmer, and that El Ninjo isn't infact 100% responsible for the higher temps? Is that too much to ask? I could just as easily make the claim that caterpillar farts plus El Ninjo have 'caused record temperatures' this year, smashing all previous heat records- therefore we must act now to stop caterpillars from passing gas', and without ANY proof that caterpillar farts are contributing to climate change, my claim is just as valid as the above statements that 'man-made global warming' is causing this years higher average temperatures- Where's the proof that it's raised the average temperature any higher than El Ninjo would have done all by it's lonesome?

I guess if they believe that if they say it enough times, it becomes scientific fact that shall never be questioned?

[[Beyond record hot, February was 'astronomical' and 'strange']]

Gee- funny how El Ninjo has a way of doing that huh?

It’s almost freezing here right now and it’s the middle of March. Very unusual.

"...triggered by a super El Nino and man-made global warming."

You can stop reading right there. Any 'scientist' who espouses global warming as fact AND the cause of something [anything], is an idiot.

In SE Michigan, we had a few days that were above average in temperature and one of the local weather-heads referred to it as “record heat for this time of year”, but it wasn’t really “heat” because it only got up to 64 or 65 a couple of times.

“What will the Earth do with all this man made global warming,” he asked, wringing his hands and looking to the sky.

Does anyone remember following Hurricane Katrina in 2005, that the acclaimed expert on climate science, Mr. Michael Moore, told us to expect at least one Katrina sized storm every year going forward (and possibly more)? Yet the hurricane seasons of the last number of years have either been at very moderate or lower than average levels.

In February, media reports, global warming turning El Nino into a bust.

Folsom lake has to let out water for flood control when last year it was to take years to return to normal levels (took three months).

Now, after massive March rains and snow, we have to worry about flooding. Soon to also be linked to global warming.
