National Review Doubles Down: ‘Important to Say’ White Working Class Communities ‘Deserve to Die’
Breitbart ^ | 3/15/16 | Breitbart News

Posted on 03/15/2016 6:54:01 PM PDT by DeathBeforeDishonor1

“The truth about these dysfunctional, downscale communities is that they deserve to die. Economically, they are negative assets. Morally, they are indefensible. Forget all your cheap theatrical Bruce Springsteen crap. Forget your sanctimony about struggling Rust Belt factory towns and your conspiracy theories about the wily Orientals stealing our jobs. Forget your goddamned gypsum, and, if he has a problem with that, forget Ed Burke, too. The white American underclass is in thrall to a vicious, selfish culture whose main products are misery and used heroin needles. Donald Trump’s speeches make them feel good. So does OxyContin. What they need isn’t analgesics, literal or political. They need real opportunity, which means that they need real change, which means that they need U-Haul.”

Does that apply here? No!

Are members of the white working class obsolete? No!

Are their communities obsolete? No!

Are they truly to blame for their own problems? No!

Is there a white underclass? Yes

Should they be cast adrift? No!

Can these problems be solved? YES!

But, in order to do that, we’ll have to admit that the LIEberals are wrong, and we must banish them to the dismal swamps!

Kevin Williamson is the voice of the G.O.P.E.

How does that sound to your ears?

I’m well versed on the Marxist Troskyites in our party and they need to go.

Hence my support for Trump.

Not as crazy at 47 as I was at 27, but still far from all there.

Hell, the intellectuals aren’t gonna win this one on the streets. We are.

Trump!

That’s the only thing that makes sense

“if only they could elevate themselves to the level of the urban ghettos and jump on the government handout bandwagon.”

Obviously you haven’t read Willamson’s article on the subject. They have taken getting govenment benfits to a new level. With judges vouching for individual’s disability claims. They use cases of soda pop bought with food stamps as currency to buy drugs. This government largees has kept some residents of these peoople living in places where jobs and economic opportunity will probably never return. Williamson’s article should have won the Pulitzer Prize.

Well, I voted for him today in IL ... him and all his delegates ... twice over! What’s that all about? I felt like a second grader, scribbling all those dots. It was exhilarating anyway.

You get it. KW deserved a Pulitzer for that. How the war on poverty went so wrong.

You know, I was reading the first compilation of “The Foxfire Book,” thinking about all those hardscrabble mountain people who eaked out a hard living with dignity and peace. Thinking about their grandchildren and great grandchildren who are today’s white underclass like out here in the Ozarks. The meth heads, the heroin addicts, fatherless, rudderless...how could they be that way when they came from such strong resilient stock? What are those ancestors doing from up in Heaven? I know we can’t cry in the presence of Jesus but it would be hard not to if I looked down and saw the same in my progeny some day.

Then I thought of my cousins on my mom’s side. One is a shiftless sort of stoner, one struggles with the aftereffects of heroin, the youngest is dead from some combination of drugs and steroids, I never got the whole story. He was 25.

How did it happen? My mother and her brother are two of the most strong, wholesome people you could know. They grew up on a farm and went to Catholic school. But they didn’t see what was going on in the culture because they grew with it. They started out in the 50s and by the 80s everything was so far gone they didn’t know what to do. My cousins were steeped in all that—sex and drugs and rock’n’roll—and it’s what got them, mostly because my liberal moonbat aunt was opposed to discipline and refused to rein in their excesses. My cousins had a great start, comfortably middle class, took music lessons, kickboxing, 4H. None of that mattered.

So now you take a town of less educated folks, make things worse with a public education designed to dumb them down, steep them in a leftist culture which by now has devolved into demons and murder and zombies for entertainment at night and the likes of Jerry Springer all day long, HEAVY glorification of drugs, weird designer spice and “vape” shops everywhere. And then you send their jobs overseas. Make sure that any kind of “up by the bootstraps” stories are not only few and far between but mocked. And let in millions of illegals who can do the work they used to do but at half the wages. A U-Haul isn’t going to magically transform them into accountants and project managers and designers. The jobs that match their skills no longer exist, anywhere in the country.

These people CAME FROM SOMETHING. Something GOOD. And that has all been eroded from under them, maybe forever. And it was PLANNED and INTENTIONAL. I am not going to blame these communities, because they have been taken out like a mob hit by the LEFT. And you know what? The next level “up” is in the crosshairs. OUR KIDS. So screw Kevin Williamson and any other stuck-up sap who piles on!!!

Black Ghettos and Latino Barrios are economically functional after their own fashion. And people want to get out.

Cruz, really? The man whose wife worked for Goldman Sachs? The more I see of Cruz, the less I trust him. He panders like mad and uses phony pauses for dramatic effect. He makes Hillary look sincere.

Well, I'm 67 ( dig it,) and I'm getting crazier by the second. But smarter! ... and sexier! ... Oh, Yeah! That's what happens.

Ah, but sir, it isn’t only the working class that has been screwed. I know many professionals, quite a few in their fifties and sixties, who were shafted by their employers after many years of employment. The CEOs make crappy decisions and layoff workers to save money. Meanwhile, the geniuses in charge keep getting the same fat bonuses. There is a reason why Dilbert cartoons are so popular. They are true.

Sorry for the rant everyone. This is, ultimately, spiritual warfare and I hate seeing the devil get so many temporary victories.
