People need to read the KW article. He’s talking about the UNDERclass, not the working class. The issues are family breakdown, illegitimacy, drug and alcohol abuse, and apathetic acceptance of life on the dole. The same problems that beset the black underclass. No difference. Which is part of KW’s point.

I have two points:
1) Would he also spout this rhetoric about black ghettos or Latino barrios?
2)Just who is going to do the jobs that these working stiffs do? Is it the cheap labor promised by unlimited immigration?
National Review is no longer credible.
Cruz doesn’t have any real plans to move jobs back to the US. He’s for more illegals, he wants to give them Legal Permanent Residency, just not “full citizenship” i.e. the right to vote or collect SS. He’s all about having them around for cheap labor.
His biggest contribution to “fixing the economy” in his campaign was to copy Trump and say his tax plan will include an “import flax tax”... then he claims he’s right and Trump is wrong because his idea is a tax while Trump’s is a tariff.
I feel bad for people who vote for Cruz hoping he’ll do something to fix the middle class... he’s from the Bush school of thought: Fight with a broken pool cue for an IT “service job”, work 3 minimum wage part-time jobs, or die.
That’s why National Review endorsed him, “begrudgingly”.
To hell with you Sphinx. A big problem that the white underclass has, that no other minority has, is that they get taxed to death and get nothing, faaking nothing back!
Other minorities get a host benefits and the white minority underclass gets bupkiss. That is why they’re not voting for what the GOPe wants to sell them. If you don’t understand that you are clueless.

The citizens of Starnesville made their own beds when they voted to import Marxism to the Twentieth Century Motor Company’s plant and to that part of Wisconsin, which degenerated to Dark Ages standards. When Dagny and Hank dropped in to scavenge the old factory, the town was living on candlelight and a common well, people didn’t use Federal Reserve Notes, preferring barter, and they didn’t even know how far the next town was. One can cast blame upon the inhabitants of Starnesville for the fix they were in.
Does that apply here? Are members of the white working class obsolete, and are their communities obsolete? Are they truly to blame for their own problems? Is there a white underclass, and should they be cast adrift?
