Lynch and the US Attorney in charge will conveniently “lose” this case.

I had no idea there was such a thing as a Federal misdemeanor.

“The federal crime DiMassimo is accused of carries a one-year maximum sentence after a conviction. If a weapon had been used or serious physical injuries had been suffered, there could have been a 10-year maximum”

I am not sure that I agree with their reading of the statute, but we will see.

Our laws are not whatever he thinks they are in his own mind

You don’t charge an individual that is federally protected

This idiot should be in prison for a few years atleast, or when the Trump administration is done is 2024

We need to send a message that this behavior will not be tolerated

...Thomas is simply a college student...

I have seen reports that this guy is a 32 year old drama school student. Must be on the 10 year drama graduation plan.

Yes, his client was engaging in a form of speech, in this case drama, conveying his message by attempting to demolish Trump’s lectern and rip the microphone away from him. He should be given a medal.

Rushing the stage behind someone’s back is not making political speech.

Holding a negative sign or walking out, or turning your back on them, is. Flipping the bird is.

His right to free speech did not include trying to get onto a stage. He has no right to be on that stage. Or try to get on it.

>>>“It’s clear that Thomas is simply a college student who, in his mind, was simply engaging in a form of political speech and making a statement, in his own mind.

Charging a stage and going after a presidential candidate is just, “engaging in a form of political speech and making a statement” . Where are these lawyers trained at? Just bazaar legal speak!

Oh so now trying to physically attack someone whom you disagree with politically is political speech? Got it.

Thomas is simply a college student...

This guy is a student just like Sandra Fluke was a "student". Seems professional lefties stay in their beloved communist incubators, otherwise known as college campuses.

Court documents read that DiMassimo “did knowingly enter and remain in a restricted building….cordoned off and otherwise restricted area where a person protected by the Secret Service.”

Sounds like that statute we’ve been discussing here. Disorderly conduct and causing a panic, state charges.

Hopefully this will get the attention of Sander’s boneheads. Trump has said he will press charges after the Kansas City rally.
