The University of Wisconsin-Platteville canceled classes Monday afternoon after a report of a gun in the building where the chancellor's office is located.
Ullsvik Hall, which also houses a coffee shop, art gallery and other offices, was immediately evacuated, and the campus was shut down within minutes.
Chancellor Dennis Shields said at an afternoon news conference that a student in the first floor of the building reported the incident.
"The witness heard what sounded like the racking of a gun from within one of the stalls in the restroom, observed what appeared to be a gun barrel, and exited the bathroom and pulled the fire alarm," Shields said, according to the Dubuque Telegraph Herald.
Shields announced on Twitter there were no shots fired and all buildings were methodically searched for a man with a gun.

Sounds like the “witness” had a mid-term he hadn’t studied for yet.

Just a “report of a gun” sends the snowflakes running to their “safe spaces”. These pixies are going to make “great Americans”.
But then again, his pulling he alarm may have scared off the gunman and in reality he saved lives. Unfortunately either scenario is all to real of a possibility in today’s world.

That seems wrong on so many levels. Guys are you concerned about what goes on in the stall next to you? Or peeking in to see the gun barrel?
Story did not mention if the brave student was treated for the vapors after this harrowing experience.

In 0bama’s America, classes also shut down because of reports that a conservative may exercise their First Amendment rights.
