Cruz wins in Idaho

Republican presidential candidate Ted Cruz is projected to win the Idaho primary.

NBC News called the race for Cruz just before midnight Eastern — less than an hour after polls closed in the state. Fox News called it moments later.

The state’s result was in great doubt leading into Tuesday's primary because of a lack of polling in the state. Most pundits had shied away from making a prediction.

The Texas senator was endorsed by Rep. Raul Labrador (R-Idaho), an influential member of the conservative House Freedom Caucus.

Idaho awards 32 delegates on a proportional basis.

I’m in Idaho and voted Trump. The mormons likely pushed him over..... No one I know talks about Cruz and I don’t see any signs of support for him.

“Why is Jeb and George brother Neil Bush now part of the Cruz financial campaign team? Not a Bush just someone they back... Big difference!”

Funny that Ted would pick someone who was responsible for Savings and loan scandal. Plus Neil cheated big time on his wife. I find that interesting since Ted acts so perfect.

I’ll call ‘em as I see ‘em too. You want to educate me about Cruz, I’ll educate you about Trump.

On what basis, do you guarantee me that Trump will act like a conservative once he gets into office — and not stab the entire country in the back? You’ve obviously been taken in by the long-time Democrat. What makes you think he won’t govern as a Democrat — and say screw you suckers?

Please tell me about Trump’s meeting with Bill Clinton before he decided to run. What did they discuss? What deals did they make? Why did they meet? YOU’RE THE ONE WHO NEEDS THE EDUCATION. Trump = Clinton, same age, same ego, same morals.

And by the way, name me one presidential candidate who thought his supporters were so cult-like that he could murder someone and his followers would stick w/ him. Trump is nuts, but I don’t expect you to wake up. No one is as crazy as Trump — he’s crazier than Glenn Beck.

your beloved Trump has a 67% disapproval rating, highest for a major candidate in history.

And I could easily say that Cruz performed at historic lows in his own state of Texas for a sitting senator. 43% was well below even McCain.

Why? Because I dare to point out facts that are not favorable to Trump? I didn't create the rules for Idaho - I am just pointing out what they are. The fact that they mean it is likely that Cruz will earn more delegates than Trump tonight is just a bonus. :-)

No, because you sound like every Democrat/Media type in every race I've followed for the last twenty years, whether they're losing or not.

"We're gonna getcha! Yeah! WE'RE GONNA GETCHA!"

Well, bully for you - he doesn’t love you back. He only loves those who put millions into his pockets - he’s just another run-of-the-mill, politician. I guess this is what being a fan of someone is - they envision that person caring personally about them, and interacting with them in their world - haha, it isn’t going to happen. Ted cares about Ted and power and money. Embrace it.

If you love Ted Cruz you love the destruction of America’s sovreignty with an American Union, bad trade deals and huge increaed numbers of legal immigrants to take your children’s heritage away. Better research a little more

I believe the current delegate count is:

Trump: 446
Cruz: 347
Rubio: 151
Kasich: 54

Hoping Rubio drops out; don’t think Kasich ever will...

CNN saying Donald has 58 delegates Cruz 43 so far tonight.

Cruz's road is going to get tougher if Trump picks up Florida and we'll see on Ohio. Kasich win and Trump 2nd?

Then we have New York and some others that are good prospects for Cruz.

Not sure how Cruz has a road to anything but 2nd place.
