Cruz wins in Idaho

Republican presidential candidate Ted Cruz is projected to win the Idaho primary.

NBC News called the race for Cruz just before midnight Eastern — less than an hour after polls closed in the state. Fox News called it moments later.

The state’s result was in great doubt leading into Tuesday's primary because of a lack of polling in the state. Most pundits had shied away from making a prediction.

The Texas senator was endorsed by Rep. Raul Labrador (R-Idaho), an influential member of the conservative House Freedom Caucus.

Idaho awards 32 delegates on a proportional basis.

Why is Jeb and George brother Neil Bush now part of the Cruz financial campaign team? Not a Bush just someone they back... Big difference!

This is a great week for Cruz!

Sat’s races he over performed and tonight he takes a State, keeps close in delegate count and....

The biggest news of the night...

Rubio is done. After tonight, doesn’t matter if Rubio decides to stay in, the electorate has decided against it.

I suspect Rubio stays in for one more swipe at Trump at Thur’s debate and calls it on Friday.

This is great news for Cruz, a two man race is coming up soon. That’s the best news of the night. I beg they’re very happy at Cruz HQ about tonight.

He would beat trump if the other chumps would drop out.

How can I say that? He consistently outperforms the polls and often by large margins. He's getting the late deciders and defectors. You can call that warmed over if you like, but once those guys drop, Trumps wins stop. (Except in the north east.)

Cruz should send a thank you letter to Mitt and thank him for his Robo calls.

No, it’s a Reagan conservative who despises Mitt and Donald Trump. The Trump supporters on this website want to give us another crazy Arnold Schwarzenegger.

If Trump gets in and acts like Arnold, the Trump supporters deserve to be remembered as the Tories were remembered during the American Revolution.

Oh, sure thing, the senator who stood alone for 22 hours on the Senate floor fighting Obamacare

I think you mean stood on the floor and read Dr. Suess out loud. I remember it well, I was very embarrassed for him and ashamed he is part of the GOPe.

“Cruz argued 9 times before Supreme Court judges”

I have to fix this for you.

Cruz argued 9 times before Justice Kennedy.

Some of you cruzers are as bad as Democrats.

Why? Because I dare to point out facts that are not favorable to Trump? I didn't create the rules for Idaho - I am just pointing out what they are. The fact that they mean it is likely that Cruz will earn more delegates than Trump tonight is just a bonus. :-)

Actually, if things stay the way they are right now, it should be 32-0 for Cruz

That would explain the snarky Trump supporter stains on this thread.

What the hell has your boy Trump done?

Gotten illegals, Islam, vets, and guns front and center, and that's without even having an elective office.

"Oh, sure thing, the senator who stood alone for 22 hours on the Senate floor fighting Obamacare (with limited support) and called Mitch McConnell a liar and paid the price of shunning, is another Bush."

I think most of us, at some point in our lives, have done more onerous things over a 22 hour period than stand in an empty room and read Dr. Suess...I know I have.

Oh geez, another bot who needs educated about Ted’s theatrical stunts. What has Trump done? Trump has created thousands and thousands of jobs in this country. He has put food on the tables and clothes on the backs of thousands of employees, while Ted was slurping at the taxpayer trough. Just because you hot dog to make a name for yourself doesn’t mean you have accomplished anything - and Ted hasn’t.

Making pretty speeches isn’t accomplishing a danged thing - it’s just making speeches. Wise up!
