Agreed...Sowell himself said Ronald Reagan wasn’t supposed to win and I’m looking at Trump in that same, in my view he’ll win.

They don’t intend for the current citizens to even have their own country. What is the end result of unrestricted immigration by a foreign horde? Bit is called colonization and genocide.

When I find myself disagreeing with Thomas Sowell

Did we read the same article?

Mr. Sowell was just laying how the GOPE were trying to stop Trump and explaining that they can't encourage Rubio and Kasich to drop out and maybe increase Cruz's votes because they don't want Cruz anymore than Trump.

The have known for years a revolt was coming.
They just don’t care.
I find it hilarious that they are still spending all this millions and millions of dollars on television and radio advertising when viewership has declined to record levels and radio is anemic.
I can honestly say that I have yet to see a political ad on television because I don’t watch. I Netflix, I surf the web, I hulu, I Amazon prime, I cable demand, I sirius.

I’m sure the neo-con-artists and their open borders toadies will pat him on his head.

Not sure that Sowell is correct in his analysis of Trump. He is pulling in Democrats - Reagan Democrats and the numbers of Republicans voting in ALL primaries has gone up while the number of Democrats registering has gone down.

The only candidate other than Trump who is anti-Establishment - and we NEED an anti-establishment candidate or we WILL loose - is Ted Cruse. If little Marco had stopped playing footsies with the Establishment, he COULD have been a third. But when a candidate in a presidential primary can’t even pull in his own state, that says a lot about him.

>>Sowell is not MSM. Ridiculous to categorize him that way.<<

On this he is.

Dr. Sowell offers a cogent analysis of the Republican primary race and the fight between the GOP establishment and Donald Trump.

However, Dr.Sowell appears to ignore the fact that Trump has awakened the somnolent ‘silent majority’ who are disgusted with Obama, yes, but equally fed up with lying Republican politicians who have demonstrated they have no intention of stopping Obama from completing his anti-American agenda.

Trump is ‘divisive’ only in that his mostly self-funded candidacy separates the establishment Republican power brokers from the rank-and-file conservative voters who finally have a voice.

Trump may be an unlikely vehicle to express the frustration conservative voters have for the Republican party but, so far, he has been a very effective one.

“The most imortant thing to the RNC/GOP is blocking us from electing a President who would enforce the laws and secure the borders.

They do not intend to allow the citizens to keep the rule of law or our country.”

All one needs to know.

The “Trump can’t beat Hillary” meme is silly. The polls are mixed and close, with the average showing Hillary up by 3.4 percent, hardly an insurmountable lead in 9 months. And Romney didn’t start winning majorities until everyone else dropped out.

I agree with regard to Reagan, because the powers that be in those days viewed him as a global obstructionist just like they do Trump.

So Sowell goes after the whole "less than 40%" and "less than 50%" when there were 7-9 candidates in the race?? Please.

When this comes down to Cruz and Trump, I suspect both will win different states with close to or more than 50%. Moreover, it is NO indication of what will happen in the general election.

What Sowell also misses is the massive increase in GOP voter turnout in ALL states over 2012. Sowell wants to take the establishment to task but struggles because he too, is part of the same machine.

I said honor the Constitution.

But, my guess is it would not bother him in the least to shred it at the first opportunity.

Take away the Trump-bashing and it’s a fine article.
Except:
“Most of Trump’s primary victories were with less than 50 percent..”

Just like every other presidential primary!
At this point in the process in 2008 hardly any candidates had wins by 50+%!

Who can beat Hillary in Purple State or Blue?

Cruz? Not a chance. His condescending, sanctimony won't fly in the general.

Rubio? Three words. Gang of Eight.

Kasich? Hillary will eat him for lunch. He's too nice a guy to fight in her ring.

Only Trump has the street creds at this point.
