WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Sixty Republican foreign policy veterans released a letter on Wednesday pledging to oppose Donald Trump and saying his proposals would undermine U.S. security, in the latest sign of fissures between the Republican presidential front-runner and the party establishment.
"Mr. Trump’s own statements lead us to conclude that as president, he would use the authority of his office to act in ways that make America less safe, and which would diminish our standing in the world," the letter says.
"Furthermore, his expansive view of how presidential power should be wielded against his detractors poses a distinct threat to civil liberty in the United States," it says.

It’s a full on dog pile at this point. Just so many hogs are feeding at the American trough that I’m not sure even Trump and/or Cruz can turn the tide.
Later today, it appears that has been Rommney his going to try to take his pound of flesh from Trump.
Hard to believe our times that we are living in.
These people are nuts. How can putting a temporary ban on Syrian refugees coming into this country make us less safe? It is their stupid policies that have put our country at risk, not to mention useless wars that we weren’t allowed to win, trade deals where we get screwed, and the list goes on. Ignore these people who think they are smarter than anyone else. Our country is in a mess here and abroad.
Such a ‘letter’ is all well and good, IF one were be able to read it in its entirety AND see exactly who all these “foreign policy veterans” really are.
I went to the Yahoo link and all there was about it were snippets and a few unremarkable names (from my perspective).
Consider me officially rebuked.

How is that mathematically possible after almost eight years of GOPe, Clinton, Kerry, and Obama. Night is Day and Down is Up to these clowns.
It is the mindset that if we ‘antagonize or upset’ them they will throw a temper tantrum and kill us all. It is the same Post 9/11 they had that just HAD had to question and agonize over just exactly what was the heinous thing to the Muslims to deserve (rightfully so in their minds) this.

The difference is, this time, with the new media and the thirty years they’ve spent fixing the game to prevent another Reagan, if Trump opens up the curtain so we see how we’ve been had they might be lucky just to lose their positions.
They’ll stop at nothing because they are afraid we might treat them the way they have treated us. They are panicking because of how vile they’ve been.
I heard a GOP shill on a local radio station bashing Trump, repeating the KKK and Nazi lies, spluttering in his rage.
All I could think was, “This is what a swindler sounds like when he’s been caught and the crowd is demanding justice”.

Maybe a lot of people will start figuring out that an awful lot of Republicans: (1) aren’t very conservative at all; and (2) are big-government globalists who would be perfectly comfortable with Hillary Clinton leading a fascist American regime.
I’m beginning to think these people are getting calls in the middle of the night telling them to make a public statement against Trump or their FBI file will be made public.
You watch, they would rather support an Obama led coup, than lose control of the world. In fact, they did just that over three years ago. Why the silence on Obama using the IRS to silence us in the last presidential election ?

If you feel this way I suggest you 60 vote for someone other than Mr. Trump.
