Much more at the link. Pretty awful stuff and the deliberate cover up and protection of child raping priests by the Roman Catholic Church is outrageous in the extreme.

Maybe if the let priests marry most of this stuff wouldn’t happen. I say this as an ex-altar boy.

Very sad behavior. The Roman Church hierarchy attempted to temporize with sodomites and it blew up in their face.

If you're sexually attracted to little boys I don't think marriage to a woman would change things......

If priests do this, can they still absolve sins?

Most of the abuse is toward young men. So unless the Catholic Church is about to allow gay pedophile marriage for priests, I don’t see how it would impact these horrible crimes.
To: MeganC
On another note, isn’t this Kathleen Kane the one who is about to be removed from office? She must be excited to have some news that isn’t about her criminal activity.

Wow I thought they quit doing that. They did quit doing that. Read the article. This is the result of an investigation of past abuse. Note that the statute of limitations has passed.

Read the article. They're talking about cases going back to the 1940s, and especially about stuff that happened in the late 1980's and early 1990's.
This isn't some new revelation of ongoing abuse.

Altoona had a policy for years of ONLY letting gay men into their seminary. They’re getting exactly what they deserve.

Unless our Church’s leadership openly and profoundly renounces the aberrant behavior of som e priests and the actions to cover things up by some bishops, this cancer will continue to metasticize.
This endangers everyone of faith and must be forcefully eliminated and the criminals punished - and victims supported.

So they HAVE quit abusing kids. You seem to be taunting but this is a serious situation. The Church was infiltrated by homosexual activists in the 50s and 60 through the seminaries. They then showed great failure in leadership in the way they dealt with the problems--some of those activists were in positions of leadership.
However... the Church did deal with the problems. Very hard to find a case of abuse where the actual abuse occurred in the last 10+ years.

Maybe if the let priests marry most of this stuff wouldnt happen. Celibacy has nothing to do with this crime. It is due to homosexuals infiltrating the ranks of the RC seminaries, and the Roman Catholic hierarchy doing a poor job (unintentional, or willfully negligent) of keeping them out of their ranks.
Where the hierarchy really failed, was once the Sodomite was found in their ranks - the Church officials often went into cover-up mode and transferred these wolves to other flocks of unsuspecting parishioners. I have no idea what they were thinking.

The Roman Church hierarchy attempted to temporize with sodomites and it blew up in their face.Because most of them ARE sodomites. Rembert Weakland was not an anomaly.
