Kasich predicts Trump will sweep Super Tuesday

John Kasich predicts Donald Trump will sweep all 12 of the Super Tuesday states this week -- but the Ohio governor believes a strong showing in his home state next month will provide the boost he needs to capture the GOP nomination.

Kasich has yet to win a state, and placed last in the Nevada caucuses last week. He's been under increasing pressure to drop out of the race in order to help the GOP's establishment voters consolidate around one candidate to better oppose the anti-establishment bids of Trump and Texas Sen. Ted Cruz.

Over the weekend, #NeverTrump began trending, a phrase used by some voters, including conservatives, who said they will not support Trump if he's the Republican nominee. Kasich, however, vowed to back the winner of the GOP primary fight, whoever it is.

I hope that indeed Trump will sweep all 12 of the Super Tuesday states. I think Kasich would make a good VP candidate for Trump. If only Kasich would see that.

Kasich does not agree with Trump’s plans.

For that reason, he has disqualified himself.

Trump is going to do good things, and I don’t want to see it undone.

Imagine Kasich tearing down the wall five or nine years later.

So Kasich essentially says Trump will win all the states but Kasich expects to win one state, which is all Kasich needs to get nominated. OKKKKKKKKK.

I think this is worse than pathetic. Anyone who would support Hillary over Trump is most definitely no conservative.

Kasich -just another one who knows nothing about Texas. Cruz will win here.

Kasich is an open-borders globalist, like the rest.

We need to build the wall and dismantle the DC machine. That’s the only way the wall will remain intact after Trump’s term is up.

Mr. Trump said his first consideration when selecting his VP would be someone who could take over as president.

I think Mr. Trump would consider Chris Christie’s ways a lot like his own, and would think Chris is the one who could take over. He’s from NJ, outspoken, and I think the way he took down Little Rubio impressed Trump.

Unless it’s someone else, completely out of the blue, I predict a Chris Christie VP.

I was wondering today while watching the Trump rally in AL, if you were Kasich, what would you be thinking? “Holy S#!t!” would be my guess....

There were more people in that stadium screaming “Trump! Trump!” than live in most of the towns in his state.

It’s not an achievement to win in your home state. It’s an expectation.

I don’t think Kasich will take Ohio, but I guess we will have to wait and see.

My first thought too.

The only way Kasich is the nominee is Trump dies and Rubio’s past catches up with him.

I think he is hoping to win his own state and then drop out, but giving his delegates to Rubio. I can’t think of another reason for him to be in the race.

“I don’t think Kasich will take Ohio, but I guess we will have to wait and see.”

The latest polls for Ohio (as well as their recent trend) tend to support your belief.

It’ll certainly be an interesting contest to watch and would certainly be an amazing feat for Trump to take Kasich’s home state away from him, not to mention Ohio is a winner-take-all-state with A LOT of delegates.

Would you support Rubio or Cruz against Hillary? I’m guessing most trumpeter wouldn’t.

Maybe Kasich is in because his father was a mailman.

Exactly. Bringing your state is part of the package a candidate sells. If they can’t do that, they are less than worthless.
