New bill could give illegal aliens voting rights in New York City

New legislation is being pushed that would give illegal aliens the right to vote in New York City's 2017 elections for mayor, comptroller, public advocate, borough president and City Council, The Post has learned.

The proposal - which is winning support from the city's black and Hispanic activists - was recently discussed at a Black and Latino Legislative Caucus event in Albany.

"We want to expand the right to vote for everybody, not suppress the vote. What a radical idea," said Bertha Lewis, head of the Black Institute, which is part of a coalition of immigration-rights groups campaigning for the bill. She said it is expected to be introduced this spring.

There are an estimated 1.3 million noncitizen residents in the city, about 500,000 of whom are undocumented. Neither the documented green-card holders nor the illegal aliens are allowed to vote.

Citizens can't carry in NYC, which is an enumerated Constitutional right, but ILLEGAL ALIENS can vote there.

Why don't we consider municipalities like this in violation of the Constitution, invade them, string up their leaders, and convert their populations to Christianity? Okay, skip the latter.

We need a federal bill that will deny federal funds to any city or state that does this.

Or we could just invade them and string up their leaders.

New York city is ground zero for left-progressivism funded by fake, printed, unbacked fiat money and massive debt.

Citizenship means nothing when money is corrupted.

Out of state people should be able to vote there, too.

Any black citizen who votes for this or supports this...is completely nuts. But then they generally are.

A federal law forbidding non-citizens voting will do better. Supremecy rule

Whoever is pushing to give illegal aliens voting rights in New York City is giving aid and comfort to the enemy. Such traitors need to be tried, convicted, and sentenced to be publicly hanged or broken at the wheel.

Citizens can't carry in NYC, which is an enumerated Constitutional right,

The right to keep and bear arms is not an enumerated right.

It is a God Given right, one that the government is prohibited from infringing upon.

Please take the time to understand the difference, it is an important one.

NO snark intended.

The caliphate types will not let them keep their city government. Heck they won’t let many of them keep their heads. That is the one thing I have left. Knowing once they let sharia take over, they will kill them off first.

This violates the voting rights of citizens, since every illegal vote nullifies the vote of a citizen.

Someone needs to file a civil rights suit if this happens.

The right to keep and bear arms is not an enumerated right.

I don't think we're disagreeing at all, but it is fact an enumerated Constitutional right. Read Amendment II. It is "enumerated" right number two of nine in the Bill of Rights.

That does not conflict with the fact that it is a right that PRE-EXISTS the Constitution. It also does not conflict with the fact that if the 2nd Amendment were ripped from the Constitution stored under the National Archives, that right would still exist.

So, we don't disagree with one another.

I guess they should also be allowed to run for office also. That would give the pols something to worry about.

Now that was a great argument without a personal attack. I know because I all too often fall short.
