Trump Needs His 'Own Damn Bucket' to Waterboard: Ex-CIA Chief
NBC ^ | 2/22/16 | Ken Dilanian

If Donald Trump is serious about wanting to waterboard terrorists, he'd better bring his own bucket, former CIA director Michael Hayden says, because the CIA isn't going down that road again.

Hayden's pithy line, which he first uttered in a Showtime documentary and repeated to NBC News, underscores a serious issue: the GOP frontrunner has vowed to bring back torture if he becomes president, but current and former CIA officials say the agency feels so burned by what happened when its post 9/11 interrogation program was exposed that it would refuse any such orders.

"Multiple investigations, grand juries, presidential condemnations, and congressional star chambers have a way of doing that to you," Hayden, who was CIA director at the end of the George W. Bush administration, told NBC News.

He then offered an even stronger version of his Showtime quote. "Like the man said, if you want somebody waterboarded, bring your own damn bucket."

Trump said Wednesday he is convinced that "torture works," so he would bring back waterboarding and "much stronger" methods. Other Republican candidates haven't been as explicit, but some have called for bringing back the harsh interrogations that were repudiated by President Obama when he

took office.

I’m no billionaire, but I am pretty sure I could get my hands on bucket if needed.

Who does the CIA report to? Isn’t it the President?
Another government worker who will quit when Trump gets in there.

So now the “Former CIA chief” is directly contradicting the statements on the Waterboarding issue of his old Bosses GW Bush and Dick Cheney and we are suppose to take HIM seriously?

Funny this guy did not think this when he was at the CIA

As Director of the NSA, Hayden did a great job in preventing the 9/11 attacks.

“Bring back torture?” We never had it.

Need to fire most of the hacks occupying desks at the CIA and the Pentagon.

I confess that a part of me wants to say “Right on!” to Trump on this. But, another part of me is not at all sure about it.

I recently watched the docudrama about Aldrich Ames. It showed him debriefing a Soviet defector who asked if he were shown to be a double agent would he be shot. Ames replied, “You are in America. We don’t do that here.”

Are there things we “don’t do here”?

..the GOP frontrunner has vowed to bring back torture if he becomes president...

Lyin' NBC (Never Been Correct) strikes again by continuing to call waterboarding torture.

If the American people have become too civilized to do what’s necessary to survive in an uncivilized world, we aren’t going to survive.
