Americans can study in Germany for free, in English

Tuition to U.S. universities has surged 500 percent since 1985 and continues to rise. But German universities offer free education to everyone -- including Americans.

The number of American students enrolled in German universities has risen steadily in recent years. Currently, an estimated 10,000 U.S. citizens are studying at German colleges -- nearly all of them for free, according to NBC News.

German universities in most federal states have traditionally been free for German citizens as well as many foreigners, including many American, Chinese and British students. One reason German taxpayers foot the bill is to help attract more skilled workers to the country.

In recent years, German companies have been unable to fill thousands of jobs because of a lack of qualified applicants. Although Germany has one of the world's most generous welfare systems, its resources are increasingly strained as more workers retire. The central European economic powerhouse also has one of the world's lowest fertility rates -- making the problem even worse.

The cost of being raped by a “refugee” isn’t worth it. Danke, ich verzichte.

Are the muslim refugees entitled to this educational schwag too? Not that they'd accept such a great offer, but still, free is free.

Cost of living in Germany is pricey. So who’s gonna finance the housing?

Seems like a back end contract.

What do we get?

UN dissolved yet?

Can we get Kofi Annan on the phone?

A sign of their mental rigidity. I lived there as a child, and the impression I got was that they had no objection to dirt at all, so long as the dirt was neatly and carefully arranged.

I was in Germany briefly in the 90’s and it was so beautiful and the people very kind. I have to wonder about how clean it is today with the hordes invading.

Berlin is not that expensive to live in, but kind of grim looking if you ask me. Still hard to believe it is really free. Do they separate tuition and fees like they do in the US?

A good colleague of mine received his Doctorate from a German Uni while taking advantage of this program.
On another note; Taiwan has this same type of program for fpreign students. It also pays a monthly stipend to the students. Classes are in "Engrish."
Mostly all are Engineering-type courses. The 'hard' sciences.
And no stayig in Taiwan after receiving your degree. Very xenophobic laws here.

That was not my impression at all.

I lived in Germany for three years. Before I arrived there, I expected everything to be clean and the people to be blonde, with blue eyes, and well organized. None of these expectations turned out to be true.

I like Germany very much. I am horrified at what's happening there.
