While serving as a city commissioner in West Miami, Marco Rubio voted in favor of a city resolution urging the federal government to give Honduran illegal immigrants permanent resident status and free them from risk of deportation, according to documents obtained by The Daily Caller.
The 1998 city resolution, #98-16, is titled "Resolution of the City of West Miami urging the federal government and Immigration and Naturalization Service to accord same status to Hondurans as has been afforded to Nicaraguans."

Trump was for partial-birth abortion then.
They all support Amnesty with the exception of Trump.
“Everybody knows that”.
Go Trump
“Trump was for partial-birth abortion then.”
That’s a good point.
“Trump was for partial-birth abortion then.”
If that is the case, he still was not an elected official with any capability to impose that belief on society. He could have just as well believed the moon was composed of Swiss cheese for all its effects.
This is Rubio’s HISTORY.
There is NOTHING in Rubio’s past that suggests he gives a crap about border enforcement, much less deportation. Yet there are now people ON THIS SITE openly pushing him, in addition to the ones posing as Cruz supporters, so as to be able to attack Trump.
“Trump was for partial-birth abortion then.”
Once Rubio legalizes 30 MILLION new (mostly) Democrats, you’ll get those partial-birth abortions that you so loathe.
DEAL WITH IT.
Being a long time Florida resident, I at one time had really high hopes for Rubio. Those hopes have been dashed I’m afraid........at least for the foreseeable future.
Limbaugh repeatedly rails against bipartisanship and âcompromise,â which, he correctly says, comes down to giving leftist Democrats whatever they want. Conservatives give; they take. In joining the Gang of 8, Rubio demonstrated that he is infected by this mindset.
There’s no doubt Rubio is poor on this issue. If one is decide in the big picture that he has a number of other positives, one has to put some hope that he learned a lesson in 2013 and will commit to a security first solution. I am hesitant on that because of the many forces from lobbiest to bring in low price labor. I am not one to completely dismiss Rubio after 2013 but I am very suspect about his loyalty. I’d get over it and vote for him in November. Not sure I forgive him enough to support him in the spring.
They are like bedbugs—difficult to eradicate.

Trump has made it clear he intends to make deals with democrats from day one.
Candidates and audience should watch “immigration gumballs”, and then debate the issue.

Gee whiz, would have been nice if this info had come out when Rubio was the "Tea Party" candidate in the GOP primary for U.S. Senator from Florida and a bunch of FReepers were falling all over themselves to endorse him the instant he announced.
Given that Rubio joined Senate Dems in 2013 in promoting that Obama-care type amnesty bill (15 years later), and he NOW seems to be having success talking his way out of his doing THAT, the 1998 revelation is sort of irrelevant now.
Right now its Trump and Rubio against Cruz in a temporary convenient alliance, no one else is bring up Rubio’s amnesty and Trump joins Rubio in calling Cruz a liar.
If Cruz goes down and Rubio goes up enough to become a threat, then Trump will go gunning for Rubio.
Bingo. The time this "revelation" would have been useful is when Rubio first announced he was seeking the GOP nomination for the U.S. Senate, and information on his past record was needed. At the time, no one lifted a finger to do so, but just blindly assumed he was "against amnesty" because he said so. (a particularly idiotic decision, given that FL conservatives had just gotten burned badly by Sen. Mel Martinez).
But conveniently, this "information" comes out NOW, when it can serve absolutely no purpose except to give Donald Trump ammo to further his campaign and gloat about his "YUUUUUUUUUUUGE WALL" talking point.
Gotta love the timing.
“Here, in America, generations of unfulfilled dreams will finally come to pass,” Rubio said on the Senate floor Thursday, according to prepared remarks. “I support this reform. Not just because I believe in immigrants, but because I believe in America even more.”
But I'd bet real money they won't hold other candidates to the standards they demand we hold Trump to.
And what will the Cuban Canadian do about the thousands upon thousands of Cubans strolling across our border? At the present rate, Cuba will soon be an uninhabited Island and America will never recover.
