GREENVILLE, South Carolina â The chairman of the local Republican Party here confirmed to local television that 2016 frontrunner billionaire Donald Trumpâs concernsâand those of his closest competitor Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX)97% âwith the Republican National Committee (RNC) allocation of debate audience tickets are well-placed. Chad Groover, the chairman of the Greenville County Republican Party here, told WYFFâthe local NBC News stationâthat party donors get tickets to the debate. âYouâll have a good mix of people who are donors, people who are donors and workers, and people who are just workers,â Groover said, noting that he got âa couple of dozenâ of tickets to hand out to the partyâs faithful donors. âI didnât have hundreds of tickets. I had a couple of dozen tickets,â Groover said. That means a significant proportion of his stack of approximately 24 tickets went to monied interests backing the GOPânot to actual voters in the upcoming election. Sources close to the process who work for the RNC, but are not authorized to speak on the record, confirmed to Breitbart News throughout the evening on Saturday that that is standard operating procedure for the RNC and the party as a whole for all debates: Donors get tickets while voters have to watch on TV at home. As such, the same appears to have been true party-wide. One well-placed source who works for one of the GOP presidential campaigns and was in attendance at the debate on Saturday evening hereâbut was not authorized to speak on record about the matterâtold Breitbart News that Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC)37% and South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley were personally given scores of tickets to distribute.

Thank you Donald and Cruz for stating the obvious about the crowd. Hopefully there will be changes but I doubt it.
...but FoxNews Carl Cameron just said, “we know that was not the case”.
Why would he lie? /s
Trump certainly nailed it. The GOPe showing its true colors. Scumbag politians before dedicated patriots.
Why would you ask why Fox would lie? It is a specialty of Fox now.
The Republican Party is so stupid. This demonstrates beyond all doubt how clueless they are. Obama has had such an easy time the last 7 years. Like taking candy from a baby.
Don’t you RNC people think that just maybe some American Voters, you know, your peeons, just might like to attend a real national debate to hear and see their candidate?
Course with all the ‘back room’ deals going on and the super packs, lobbyists, and special interest group monies flying 90 miles a hour every which way, I guess ‘WE the People don’t matter!”
But guess what: “YOU will be hearing us soon....hell’s a comin’ and so are we!!!”
I don’t really care who gets the tickets... as long as they are told to sit down and shut the hell up. They aren’t participants and are making a mockery of an already apparent circus. This is not a service to Americans as-is and the booing and hissing needs to stop immediately. I don’t care who you support, it makes our party look like a bunch of children and I’m damn tired of it. On top of that, interrupting and talking over top of each other is juvenile. I wanted to punch Jeb and Trump right in the throat for that debauchery. What a disgrace... even Cruz fell into it a little. Just really disappointed in the lot of them. Another reason to despise the RNC for allowing this to continue
Why do you hate Matthew Boyle so much that you refuse to list him as the author of his own material?
I also think all that loud yelling and clapping was canned because I never saw anyone in the audience yelling and not nearly as much clapping as it sounded.
It sounded like the audience of a taping of Good Times
It’s their party. We only serve to provide votes so they can continue to enjoy their perks.
Cruz and Trump was targeted by an audience which was making a mockery of the debate. They acted like children and these are the people who find the RNC. Disgusting.
The crowd was so bad at some points that I just could not stand to watch the debate anymore.
Trump should point to a couple and state their names and then tell us how much they are giving to the establishment candidate and it is these people which ignore you as voters, because they think they are better than you, regardless of how immature they act.
We gave them what they asked for ... the house and the senate and what did they do? They betrayed us over and over. They apparently think we’re too stupid to notice.
They try to destroy anyone who interferes...it became obvious with Sarah Palin. Now Trump. Fortunately he’s a big enough guy to make enough noise that this is no longer the least bit subtle.
The only way to take them down is to plow straight through the corruption...straight through the head of the snake ....the Bushs, and the rest of them. Maybe then we can get our country back.
They’ve got a lot more up their sleeves...the voting machines that default to Jeb for those not careful enough to doublecheck their votes. More rigged debates, more rotten articles. Trump is not perfect so they’ll find stories and we will fight amongst ourselves while meanwhile the big picture is one thing...globalization (including the destruction of more of our jobs) and the depletion of our sovereignty.
I think it’s going to get uglier....there are trillions of dollars at stake.
well said and you hit the nail on the head.
That debate was made into a mockery. The point of a debate is to hear what people have to say, not have them booed so as we cannot hear them,
This is the second time the RNC has gone all out to silence those who are not the establishment.
yes.... Trump nailed it, and as usual, Cruz grabbed Trump’s coat tails...... the weasel is wearing thin
Thank you and you have restored a little faith for me in how some freeeprs have acted by ignoring the bigger picture.
The RNC has lost all credibility. We turned the debate off and followed a Freerepblic thread. The thread was civilized and very informative. A couple of trolls tried to disrupt, but can’t say they were all that successful. I hope future debates demand the candidates receive respect or there will be no further debates. At this point in time, they seem to be a waste.
