Gun rights groups like the National Rifle Association said that conservative Justice Antonin Scalia's death Saturday puts gun rights on the line. "We are one justice away from a Supreme Court that would harm our Second Amendment rights," said the NRA.

I would bet that Alan Gottlieb (Second Amendment Foundation) will probably be the main guest tonight on Armed American Radio talking about this.

And SCOTUS rulings are not easily overturned. This is very serious.

What happens if SCOTUS deadlocks?

I'd say the precipice has been compromised. I'm not very optimistic considering that the RINOe has collapsed in front of every Democrat biased decision since they took over the House and Senate. I don't trust McConnell or any of the RINOe.

If Baraq gets his candidate in, there will be an incredible bull market in guns and ammo before SCOTUS flushes our 2nd Amendment rights.

You’re certainly right.
This Senate already approved Loretta Lynch for AG by 56-43.
What’s the chance they would turn her down for SCOTUS?

How series it is depends not only on the obvious issue of who eventually replaces Scalia. The more complicated question is whether the current 8-member court will attempt to hear gun cases and end up in 4-4 ties. This, I believe, would mean that various lower court decisions would stand, though precedent would not be set and they could be relatively easily overturned later by a 9-member SCOTUS. This is what I hope Alan Gottlieb talks about tonight.

All of the media voices will be singing the same tune. They will flood us with emotional pleadings to persuade us to endorse whatever loonie leftie is nominated by Obama. They will us all of their tools in their toolbox because this their once in a lifetime chance to “make a difference”. The difference that they want is to convince the American people to agree with their vision of a liberal paradise while abandoning their common sense and their own way of life.

For our politicians, it’s not time for them to get wobbly. They need to understand that if they cave, their cushy little political life will end.

Gun purchases are going to soar even more now. The question will be what will you do when they ask you to turn them in. Can you imagine all the criminals with guns and nobody else allowed to have them. Better get creative on self defense techniques.

Well more aptly we are one justice away from CWII. Which is what will happen if they try to re-interpret the 2nd.

There was no one nearby protecting him. The US Marshals who were suppose to be... determined immediately that there was no “foul play”. There has been no autopsy. The body is going to be embalmed and “prepared” in a nearby funeral home before being shipped home. Nothing suspicious here lets move on.

Lots of freedoms are in jeopardy.

If ever there a time to say no to a Democrat and for the Senate to resist Hussein, it is now.

Nut cutting time has come.

What hypocrites the NRA are. Scalia’s death is just fundraising fodder for them. They don’t even want better gun rights, that would dry up their precious fundraising. Thanks for nothing low-class idiots. Way to disrespect a judge who protected your rights.

Sometimes old guys just die.
For a 79 year old chubby male smoker, he did pretty well vs. the life expectancy curve.

I suspect there was an increase in gun sales immediately after Scalia’s death was announced.

Especially among politicians and conservative supreme court justices.

IOW, please send money.

Oh, and while you're at it, give us your cell phone number. Our valued partners selling gold, Viagra, and insurance can't seem to get in touch with you.

The NRA needs to stop crying and instead start flexing its political muscle with the Senate GOP and demand that they hold the line on this and DO NOT CONFIRM Obama’s nominee to replace Justice Scalia.

They need to hold McConnell to his promise that it will be the next President and NOT Obama who will be naming Justice Scalia’s successor - and warn MicConnell and the Senate GOP Caucus of what will happen to them politically should they cave and confirm Obama’s nominee.
