So you would prefer a quick approval of Zero’s nominee?

I wonder if they will turn out like all his other filibusters. I don’t trust him to be able to convince others of his beliefs. He is very bluster but results are nonexistent.

I’m in favor of substantive action, not grandstanding. Stop making crap up.

An actual REAL one, or one that goes on just long enough to look good in a campaign ad?

The longest solo REAL one lasted less than a day. If Obama's nominee is to be opposed, the opposition has to last ELEVEN MONTHS.

A filibuster is the WRONG TOOL AT THE WRONG TIME in this fight (if there is to be a fight at all, which I doubt).

Look at me! Look at MEEEE!

What a stupid ass!

Why don't you read before mouthing off? It was an interview. He was asked a question. He gave a one-word response. From that came an inflammatory headline.

Exactly, but it makes Cruz look good. “I fought for the American people.” gag...

Oh that’s just soooooooo funny.

Look, these guys are PAID to be in the Senate, and we expect them to do their job.

If this is just a cheap stunt by Cruz, or Rubio, OR ANYONE ELSE to look “tough” for a couple of hours, then they can go stuff it, because they would be no better than doing nothing.

So YOU had better wipe off that smug and had better hope that this big-shot “warrior” you guys keep touting actually does his REAL job correctly.

He can nominate all he wants, right? He doesn’t have a vote except to be the nominator.

If any other Senator said what Cruz stated.I wouldn’t believe it until I saw it.But Cruz says what he means and will do as he says.Thats why he’s my number One pick for President.

I want a fighter. Not some lame chicken like Jeb or Marco.Trump would be like a loose cannon.Firing at everything.Though he’d still be my number two.

It takes 41 determined senators to stop something. The alternative is to have something brought up just before an adjournment, and hog the floor until the senate adjourns.

Both Marco and Ted can screw up the seats in the Senate. If the Dems take the Senate....we are soooooo scr****.

Marco has said he won't run again.

Memo to self: Watch what the other hand is doing.

This is where he belongs and this is his job, instead of running around the country campaigning for a promotion. Why can’t these guys be happy where God has placed them, where they can really help the country? The promotion will come naturally if they persevere. It’s called “ripening”.

What? Only the unemployed are eligible to run for President? Last I checked, President's aren't appointed by some higher power. By your logic, shouldn't Trump be home running his business?

His body not yet cold, Justice Antonin Scalia caught Obama’s attention as a political issue. Not that I would have expected too much different from the presiding politician, but at least the Vito Corleone’s enemies waited until after his funeral.

No idea what smug anything you are even talking about, whatever it is I don’t have to wipe anything ..... Humorous to me that the trumpets verbally beat the crap out of anyone who questions his past positions, and if he is talking conservative just to get elected.

"Hog the floor until the senate adjourns."

Then Obama can name his recess appointment. The Republicans must not adjourn the senate for any reason until Jan. 2017. Isn't it true that as long as there is one senator on the floor they are considered in session?

It takes two, one to be presiding. Interruptions of three days are considered "not recess," but only by past practice, there is no hard and fast rule. Certainly overnight is not a recess.

Oh, please. Every candidate should have prepared for the death of a SCJ since they started campaigning. Even I could come up with a plan.

The death of Scalia, so overwhelming for me because he was the ideal justice and I fear God is going to let us go down. Pre-born genocide is an abomination and needs to be STOPPED. Scalia had 9 kids, has 35 grandchildren. What more proof of God’s blessing upon him and his family.
