As I posted on a similar thread, my wife’s Christmas present was an S&W Bodyguard .380 and a conceal carry purse. Loves them.

I was going to differentiate between truth and fantasy, but that’s no more fantasy than Pam Anderson firing two .357 Desert Eagles simultaneously.

At least mine is .44 Magnum.

I don't know why more people don't want revolvers.

I guess when your pistol jams, you can think of all the money you are saving.

Your Trump comments make A LOT more sense, now :o)

Later in the movie she up-guns to a chain gun. It’s actually a documentary.

There are a LOT more females at the local ranges these days, and most of them are recent shooters who are there for self-defense purposes. A lot of men would rather take a kick in the 'nads than ask another guy a gun question, but the ladies don't mind asking for info on what to buy or how to improve their shooting. Early last year, I semi-supervised a new shooter who had "the gift": she could pick up handguns at random and within the first few rounds be making good hits on the target. It was fun to see someone with that kind of natural turn for shooting.

Niteowl77 is a woman who prefers revolvers, but a stout DA trigger pull is not easy for her, and so she shoots some semiautos better. I, on the other hand, prefer semiautos, but occasionally rely on a somewhat sloppy older DAO SP101 that I smoothed out and reduced the pull weight. (The b/c gap was a bit large when new and has opened up a bit, but it is absolutely reliable, virtually snag-free on the draw and requires nothing other than a pull of the trigger to operate. I try not to let my personal preferences override the virtues of a firearm that does what I ask of it.)

You’re gonna have to ID that for me, is it a gyro-jet or something?

Interesting. Even if you don’t hit them, you can dazzle them with the glare!

How I used to do it when I had more money..

I would see a gun I liked and buy it, store it in my den, garage, gun safe away from prying eyes. taking it out only in private.
A year later I would take it out and she would say.. “Now WHERE did you get THAT!”

I would say...”This old thing? I’ve had it for over a year! Don’t you remember!”

Never had a problem.

My engagement present to my wife was a Ruger .357 Magnum revolver. However, her carry gun is now a Bersa Thunder in .380.

Could be because they are so ridiculously overpriced. We’re talking about technology that is almost 200 years old, but Ruger wants $900 for a .44 magnum.

Devaluation of the US dollar has a lot to do with that. I purchased a 4" S&W 686+ in 1999 for $437 in San Diego. The going price on Buds gunshop (online) is $715 now. The Ruger Mini-14 Ranch Rifle retailed for $439 in 1999. It's $799 today. I'm quoting discount street prices for current prices, not MSRP.

Buds has the Ruger SuperRedhawk 7.5" 44Mag for $832 today.

I don’t know why more people don’t want revolvers.

Much thicker profile, harder to conceal in tight fitting jeans.

Colt Mustang 380 in the light weight version is pretty cool.

Freaking stupid Hollywood.

If she was walking around with that as a prosthetic leg, 9 chances out of 10 it would not work because of a bore obstruction.

Hollywood idiots strike again.

When I was buying my P238, the seller said that rainbow version is one of the top sellers from Sig. To me, it is ugly as sin and I do not see the appeal at all.
