Women are buying handguns in record numbers -- especially weapons that are small enough to conceal.
But they are frustrated by the lack of firearm accessories catering to them. So some are starting companies of their own to tailor products to women.
"I thought to myself, 'Where's all the women's stuff?'" said Lorelei Fay of Boise, Idaho.
Fay couldn't find a suitable holster when she got her own concealed carry license. Her mother had taught her to sew, so she made her own: an elastic belly band with a holster for her Sig Sauer semiautomatic handgun. It also has pockets to hold two backup magazines.

Could be because they are so ridiculously overpriced. We’re talking about technology that is almost 200 years old, but Ruger wants $900 for a .44 magnum.

At 7500’ in the New Mexico mountains boat accidents are kind of hard to come by, but tripping while carrying them near an abandoned mine shaft is another thing altogether.
I guess when your pistol jams, you can think of all the money you are saving.

Harder to IWB due to width, the alloy Smiths can have brutal recoil (I don't know anyone who shoots an 11 ounce revolver with .357's... even very experienced shooter), and the double action trigger of a J-frame is heavy, and not conducive to accuracy unless you practice a lot.

Revolvers jam too, and the few times it’s happened to me, it’s not something you clear without tools. Autos have gotten really reliable, but you do have to attend more to their care and feeding.
A chick with that gun will make you get her a sammich! “Yo, buddy, make me a sammich...with frilly little lettuce and LOTS OF MEAT! NOW!!!”
