Republican presidential candidate Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) 97% and Sen. Jeff Sessions (R-AL) 80% introduced legislation in the U.S. Senate to give more resources to the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agency so it can enforce Americaâs immigration laws.
âFor far too long, the Obama administration has discouraged enforcement of our nationâs immigration laws,â Cruz (said) n a statement. âPresident Obama has even personally threatened âconsequencesâ for the dedicated men and women who try to follow the law.â
âThis legislation sends a clear signal of support to the ICE agents who risk their lives on a daily basis to enforce our nationâs immigration laws. The next administration must support the people who protect us from illegal immigration and punish those who break our laws.â
The legislation would enforce the penalties and fines on undocumented immigrants and then use that revenue for the agency.
The agency has been overwhelmed with the amount of undocumented immigrants in the United States. In 2015, Cruz engaged in a testy (exchange) with ICE Director Sarah Saldana at a Senate Judiciary Committee hearing where accused the Obama administration of ignoring immigration enforcement policies.

Wish this was more than a feel good bill. It is going nowhere in the Senate. Will not even get out of a Republican controlled committee.
Smoke and mirrors going nowhere but looks good.
Why did vote to cut Military Spending with Rand Paul?
The mindless posts by Trump supporters are everywhere now. You own in FR.
I think we need to franchise companies to do scofflaw immigrant pay confiscation.
Companies would submit bids each November to USCIS for the right to hold paychecks and examine restaurant, cleaning, construction and landscape employer payrolls. Pay would have to be by check if the employer is involved in any such business.
In December (and later), employers would get their assigned pay dates for the coming year and a check code. They would also provide a phone number to get pay authorization text messages. The day before each pay date the employer would have to see if franchisee wants to hold the paychecks.
Workers would have to pick their paycheck up from the local franchisee office if their paycheck is held. Those paychecks not picked up in 30 days would be the franchisee’s reward.
We have the laws. We need to enforce it.
Ted always runs down to the Senate to intro a bill so that he can then hit the campaign trail and brag how He intoduced a bill lookin’ out for you.
One of the reasons his cohorts in the Senate don’t like him. They see him as using the Senate to bolster his own POTUS run by introducing bills that can’t pass.
Even if it passes our ‘President’ will make sure it’s not enforced.
Hillary and Obama want millions and millions of illegals to be the next democrat voters...
PING
OK, I am sure the AG will get right on it. No law matters if the President refuses to enforce the it and Congress refuses to charge him with violating his oath.

Thanks for the ping!
Anyone who listens to Ted in this interview LAST month, can see he has NO INTENTION of deporting any illegal aliens unless they ‘happen’ to be caught by ICE during their routine (LOL) duties. The lawyereeze is so thick you can barely wade through it!

Do you guys have Twitter Tantrums too??? I mean.. Wow!
When it comes to immigration reform, U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz has made it abundantly clear what he opposes: giving citizenship to people who broke the law to come here.
