Retired Los Angeles County Sheriff Lee Baca will plead guilty in a downtown courtroom Wednesday to a single charge of making false statements, marking a dramatic turn in the ongoing federal investigation into corruption in the Sheriff's Department.
In a plea agreement filed in federal court Wednesday morning, Baca admitted to lying twice about his involvement in hiding an inmate from FBI agents who were investigating brutality and corruption by sheriff's deputies in the county jails.

Just hope he get to feel “even badder” when he gets to see his former jail from the inside. In California, you have to get to the rural counties to find any decent sheriffs. The bimbo whos currently sheriff in Orange County took over when her predecessor went to jail for corruption as I recall. And don’t get me started about our most recent “faggot sheriff” in San Francisco. He was so criminally challenged when he was in office that he wasn’t allowed to carry a gun (domestic violence).
It’s just the beginning, and eventually it will be so hopelessly corrupt that the federal government will throw up their hands and walk away.
That’s what happens when you let Mexico take over your judicial and police institutions.
Since they will be the majority in LA for the foreseeable future, it will just be one long procession of wannabe Caudillos taking over the Sheriffs office and the LAPD, and ransacking it until it becomes unbearable and they either leave with the cops kicking the doors down or they end up prosecuted.
Just like in Mexico.
Could you be referring to Ex-Chief Ross Mirakimi and his show boat wife Eliana Lopez? What a couple they were. I expect a movie or two about them in the near future. She will probably want to star in it herself!

Yes! And further that Mirikarimi went from the SF Board of Sups to being Sheriff w/o a stitch of a background in law enforcement. But I guess if you aren’t going to uphold the law anyway, it probably didn’t matter. Just another East Coast POS who came to California to further crap in our nest here.
Lee Baca made the late Rodney King look like a genius.
I’m sure he is sorry for the things he was busted for. The other stuff, not so much.
