New audio obtained exclusively by Breitbart News indicates that as the Iowa caucuses began on Monday night, the campaign called precinct captains informing them that Dr. Ben Carson was suspending campaigning, and instructing them to tell voters they should “not waste a vote on Ben Carson and vote for Ted Cruz.â€
The calls were placed after the Carson campaign had already clarified that Carson was not suspending his campaign.
Nancy Bliesman, a precinct captain for Cruz in Crawford County, Iowa, told Breitbart News that she received two voice mails–one at 7:07 p.m. Central Standard Time (CST), and one at 7:29 p.m.–on the night of the Iowa caucuses, which began at 7:00 p.m.
The first call came from a woman with a phone number out of Galveston, Texas at 7:07 p.m. (transcript follows audio):
[inaudible]…from the Ted Cruz campaign, calling to get to a precinct captain, and it has just been announced that Ben Carson is taking a leave of absence from the campaign trail, so it is very important that you tell any Ben Carson voters that for tonight, uh, that they not waste a vote on Ben Carson, and vote for Ted Cruz. He is taking a leave of absence from his campaign. All right? Thank you. Bye.
The second voicemail was left at 7:29 p.m. from an Iowa phone number that Breitbart News traced back to a Cruz campaign volunteer hotline.
Hello, this is the Cruz campaign with breaking news: Dr. Ben Carson will be [garbled] suspending campaigning following tonights caucuses. Please inform any Carson caucus goers of this news and urge them to caucus for Ted instead. Thank you. Good night.

I am not a trump worshipper, either. I do think he’s marching to the beat of a different drum, though.
I think in order to break the trend...ie reintegrating the nation into being a nation rather than open borders on north and south to make one big nation, we need to ‘reshuffle’ the cards so to speak..break the pattern. THAT is why I think we need Trump.
Cruz is a globalist. I’ve posted a ton of links showing why and how, who’s backing him. His wife supports the North American Alliance...do some homework on that! He’s in a good position to support that as president, and he’s in a good position to be president with those kinds of connections. This is one reason why I don’t want him, or like him, other than the fact that I spotted his dishonesty early on.
Trump is a problem to the globalists. I don’t care if he is a crybaby, at least he’s being honest about it. I can respect that. I can also respect the fact that to him, being a ‘looser’ is intolerable and I can trust him to remedy that. He means every word he speaks when he speaks it. Even if he looses, He’s going to try like hell to accomplish what he said he would.
Cruz will buckle to his owners...err..his financial backers. Ya, that’s the ticket, his handlers. Who does he owe? That’s who he will serve. It isn’t God, it’s financial backers who ARE globalists, and a man can’t serve two masters. God doesn’t like the global beast..he sets out to destroy it.
But do Cruzers care about facts????? Guess we’ll find out, won’t we?

The “Holier than thou” thing bothers me the most about Cruz. He’s a politician like the rest and will say and do whatever it takes to win.
Yes he has great policy, but he’s also got a dark side(as do the rest of them) and you have to own that.

And neither the report or press release said Carson was dropping out. Carson dropping out was an assumption Team Cruz unilaterally made and later had to apologized for.
Team Ted made up a lie and ran with it on a caucus night. No amount of equivocation or obfuscating will change that fact.

Are you a Carson supporter? I was...but after he didn’t defend himself against Trump’s SLANDER and started sinking, I saw the only sustainable conservative was Ted Cruz. Your selective outrage over this event since your birther nonsense got you nowhere failed and your “mailer-gate” BS also failed.
One thing you geniuses have left out...Ted Cruz did nothing except to extend a courtesy apology to Dr. Carson if he felt slighted. It was not owed, but that was very generous on Cruz’s part to do so. I respect him for that, but lost respect for Carson after his behavior fueled this bogus issue.
Carson’s campaign had been losing staff all through November, December and January, so him not going on to NH or SC would tell anyone with common sense that he was not a serious contender. People on the ground did send messages to caucus for Cruz that he was in it for the long haul, and

The only worshipping I have seen is for Cruz. These evangelicals throw Jesus to the mud in their support for Cruz. Sickening.

I like Dr Carson a lot, have defended him often, but he was never my first choice.
