'Not a Snowball’s Chance in Hell': Speaker Ryan’s 'Intense' Meeting With House Freedom Caucus

House Speaker Paul Ryan held a meeting a with members of the conservative House Freedom Caucus Tuesday in an attempt to persuade them to vote for his 2017 budget plan, but judging from one member's response, Ryan's efforts were not very successful.

"There's not a snowball's chance in hell that I'll vote for that," caucus member Mo Brooks (R-Ala.) said. At least two other caucus members described the meeting as "intense," the Huffington Post reported.

Ryan reportedly met with a group of about 25 members of the conservative caucus in the speaker's office over beer, chips, soda and "all the normal kinds of bagged munchies that you're not supposed to eat." The newly elected GOP leader told the members that if they want to pass appropriations bills this year, then they have to accept next year's proposed spending plan.

But Brooks said that's not going to happen because the plan isn't "fiscally responsible" enough.

"What we're doing is like getting a squirt bottle and thinking that’s going to stop the Titanic from sinking," Brooks said after listening to Ryan make his case.

It's always the same old story with this crowd:

"Don't dare be conservative in an election year!"

And then they say "Don't dare be conservative in a NON-election year!"

In other words, NEVER be conservative!

Well FU Paul!

You mean Ryan didn’t get beaten up enough over the Omnibus Spending Bill to register? What’s it going to take, a two-by-four upside the head?

Who made that faggy remark about “all the things you’re not supposed to eat”? Was that Ryan? If so, he’s worse that I thought.

Go back in time. The Freedom Caucus installed this POS traitor as Speaker, with Teddy’s blessing.

And before you flame me Cruz folks, go further back and look for articles in here where Teddy met with them multiple times to coordinate between House and Senate. Cruz was their Senate leader.

NOTICE: I DIDNT CALL NAMES AGAINST FREEPERS. I SUGGEST ALL OF YOU START DOING THE SAME.

Let’s get back to issues folks. Enough of the bull$hit in here.

The House Freedom Caucus has repeatedly insisted on an all or nothing approach that has left it marginalized, largely irrelevant to the legislative process. As individuals they seem to be more interested in hewing to a pure political philosophy than in actually moving the conservative agenda forward one step at a time. Viewed cynically, they would rather cast red meat to the voters at home and get reelected than actually achieve legislative victories. What a shame, what a waste of opportunities.

I can’t imagine not giving him a wedgie and a kick in the ass for such a proposal.

Ryan needs to go play in traffic.

I thought Ryan was Mr. Budget Expert? Turns out he is as much of an expert as Boehner.
