Mark Levin Blasts Media Over Ignoring Cruz's Stunning Victory While Propping Up Rubio as 'Winner'
PJ Media ^ | 02-02-2016 | Michael van der Galien

Posted on 02/03/2016 5:31:05 AM PST by Michael van der Galien

On his radio show yesterday, Mark Levin rightfully blasted the media for spinning the Iowa caucuses. They are, he explained pretending that Marco Rubio was the winner of the night because he got a larger share of the vote than projected.

He did. But that does not make him a winner, Levin said: Rubio finished third... which is exactly where the polls had him. Yes, he received more voters, but he placed as expected.

As Levin pointed out yesterday, the real winner of the Iowa caucuses was Ted Cruz. Not only did he perform better than thought by finishing first rather than second, and not only did he get 4% more than projected in the RCP average, he also took on the ethanol lobby, the MSM, and the establishment... and he walked away with more voters than any Republican candidate in Iowa's history.

That's the real story here, not that the establishment favorite -- who was supported by establishment politicians, whose Super PACs relentlessly went after Cruz, who was pushed continuously by the media -- ended up finishing third, but with a higher percentage than expected.

His campaign chairman has quite the insider history. Also was for expanding nsa which cruz claims he is not for it. I dont think many of the cruz backers here have looked at the people in his campaign

A ‘stunning win’ gets you more than one delegate than the next winner.

Trump’s win was more stunning and glorious considering he hadn’t the (almost) one year invested in time, in IA and the fact he’s not a seasoned politician.

Hmm... Maybe we should vote for a clean politician, like Hillary, because according to the media she poops rainbows and ice cream.

I’m so done with Levin.

The positive is that I am finding a renewed appreciation for music on my drives home.

Keep it up Mark, my iPod is loaded!!

His campaign chairman has quite the insider history.

As does Cruz himself. Harvard, Bush campaign & admin, etc. In fact, Cruz is the biggest “campaign conservative” of them all because he is the only Washington Cartel candidate that is running against it.

More than a bit hyperbolic, if you ask me. Dirtier than Bill Clinton? Than Hillary? Then Obama? Pleeze.

There is no doubt that Rubio is the GOPe’s new golden boy since Jeb can’t make it out of the gate. He will end up as the nominee ‘by hook or by crook’. The only hope that it won’t happen will be Trump.

There were 2 photos released last week showing Rubio in a hot tub with other guys and onstage shirtless with other guys that were a little grainy so, thinking Rubio...

Cruz’s apology to Carson says that Cruz did not necessarily win the vote totals.

Also, like you say, he got one more delegate than 2nd and 3rd place.

Also, he was EXPECTED to win. When you do win after being expected to win, then there aren’t a lot of bragging rights to spread around.

Iowa isn’t about delegates. It’s about shaping the field. Unfortunately for Trump, Rubio has a new life and the forces that run the party and conservative media are going to abandon Bush/Kasich/Christie for Rubio. So will the money. Rubio will win easily if it comes down to a 1-on-1. Trump would have been better off letting Cruz win the day and not letting Rubio creep up from 10% to 23%.
