EXCLUSIVE: Head of Progress Iowa: Bernie Sanders Has ‘Caught Fire,’ Race Too Close To Call

"It's been an incredible appeal what he has had," Progress Iowa executive director Matt Sinovic said of Sanders, appearing on "Breitbart News Sunday" on Sirus/XM 125 with host Steve K. Bannon and Washington political editor Matt Boyle, which was broadcasting from Des Moines. Progress Iowa is a nonprofit organization that describes itself as "powered by a community of more than 30,000 progressives, focused on research, education, and advocacy."

Sinovic described Sanders as "a movement candidate that has caught fire" competing against Clinton, who has a "broad, broad base of support" culled from a prior campaign.

Uncle bernie:

Then he tried his hand freelancing for leftist rags, writing about "masturbation and rape" and other crudities for $50 a story. He drove around in a rusted-out, Bondo-covered VW bug with no working windshield wipers. Friends said he was "always poor" and his "electricity was turned off a lot." They described him as a slob who kept a messy apartment - and this is what his friends had to say about him.

Hildebeast:

Clinton, who has a "broad, broad base of support". Super strong cankles?

Spontaneous combustion, as in "caught fire"? One can hope.

The real fireworks tonight in Iowa will be in the Democratic race. I think Sanders wins by a comfortable margin and the looks of panic on the faces of the Democratic MSM will be priceless.

It utterly astounds me to see how quickly people of these United States rush to socialism.

And this is how Democracy Dies: To thunderous applause.

Seeing “Bernie 2016” bumper stickers makes me sicker than O stickers. And I’m seeing a lot of Bernie stickers. People say, “well at least he admits he’s a socialist”. What difference does that make? Except that 50% of the population don’t know the history and economics of socialism. That’s the saddest part to me. The stupidity. It not only continues, but these people are getting...stupider.

I feel the “Bern” on my wallet and bank accounts if that lover of Engels and Marx becomes president.

In my conversations with people under 30, at least 80% of them are in the tank for Bernie. If he is not elected this year someone just like him WILL become POTUS at some point.

Various theories to explain this:

- These voters came of age after the Cold War, and hence have no idea why Socialism is a bad thing.

- They see endless government giveaways to corporations via Crony Capitalism, and have concluded the Free Market really does not exist. So if the government is going to give stuff away it should do so for average people too.

- They are globalized via the internet to know about all of the social benefits that people get in Europe, and have decided that the Greatest Country on Earth should offer those things to its citizens too.

In any case Bernie has left his mark. We now have a robust and growing constituency for Socialism which this country has not seen in a century.

They asked one young girl why a 74 year old captures many young kids.
She replied after thinking about it and stumbling.” It’s because of the free education”.

Do these idiots understand that if he got power he cannot just raise everyone’s taxes to a massive % and then declare freebies for everyone/.

We are witnessing the downfall of Hillary once again. Bernie Sanders would have been her hand picked opponent (not so sure he wasn't to pave her way to the inevitable march to the nomination....only problem even the stupidest man in the country looks like a genius compared to her. Which lays waste to all the liberal media telling us how brilliant she is...she is exactly what her husband is a lying POS!!!!

I guy who should be running as a third-party candidate as a registered Independent, Bernie Sanders, is leading the presumptive candidate, Hillary, who should be in jail. Bernie was never asked to sign any kind of loyalty oath to the Democrats.

Trump, who threatened to runs as a third party candidate was forced to sign a loyalty oath of sorts so he would not run as a third-party candidate and to show loyalty to the Republicans.

Obama, who got the support of the American Communist Party teed up Marxism to be a connector for either Hillary or Sanders to move the country to full-blown socialism/communism as the next logical transformation of America.

Obama, Hillary, nor Sanders have never worked a day in their lives and have a disdain for America. Hillary hates other people's money until it is her money, then she loves money.

Honestly, I hope Burn does win it all..

He can’t play the woman card and should be easier to beat. his far left views should be easy for even a GOPe looser to point out and win.

Because many of them don’t work and have a lot of bills to pay, including children. They want their own 4 year college paying off while they think the workers should pay for their 4 year partying.

The generation should to be called the millennium , but should be called the all about me generation.

Just heard Sanders state as I type this. “It should be a right not a privilege”. I take it he doe snot understand the Constitution or where are rights come from.

One thing to remember:

The Democrat will win the White House. It’s just a matter of which Democrat.

FWIW, I would welcome a campaign Sander vs Trump. It would be a total rejection of the elitist backstabbers who have destroyed the nation. It would be a campaign of discussing approaches for governance. I am TOTALLY confident that in a war of ideals, liberal vs conservative, that we win, every time. Our problem is the frauds that pretend to represent us to get to DC, not the vision.

I agree. If Sanders wins I want to see George Snuffleupagus' face as well as all of the other lame streem media after they have done all they can for Hillary and yet Sanders was running without being fully committed to the job. His speeches just don't come across as if he really wants the job.

STOCKHOLM SYNDROME, or capture-bonding, is a psychological phenomenon in which hostages express empathy and sympathy and have positive feelings toward their captors, sometimes to the point of defending and identifying with the captors.

Hillary and Bubba have too much baggage and the young voters have been hearing everything as they were growing up....and apparently listening. They don’t trust her. She literally has no accomplishments. And if she wasn’t married to Bubba, we’d all be going “Hillary who?”
