The Donald Dilemma
The Hill ^ | 1/28/16 | Rick Manning

Lastly, the sudden embrace of Trump by GOP establishment members in an attempt to knock out their real nemesis, Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas), has got to force Trump voters to take pause. The GOP gambit is to knock off Cruz in Iowa because his voters go disproportionately to Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.). Trump's voters, on the other hand, tend to go to Cruz. So, beating Cruz would boost the establishment's favored alternative, and in classic "the enemy of my enemy is my friend" fashion, they are pumping up Trump.

They know their embrace is toxic, so they are using their last weapon now that Cruz is failing to take him out.

Nice try GOPe.

Unless of course Trump and Cruz have a game plan. They have met, and have talked. Sarah too before Trump got into the ring.

The game is afoot, Watson.

Their intent is to knock Cruz out procedurally at the convention over the natural born citizenship issue.

Dream much? It’s as stated. I will never vote for Chump. For me it’s Cruz, the most Conservative.

Trump has made a very big issue of getting a judge to sign off on this issue for Cruz, for some time now.

Why?

Except they can't. Legally, Cruz is eligible.

My two choices are Trump and Cruz. I started out with Cruz, but Trump came in swinging and hasn’t let up. I’ll vote for either.

Trump is the brawler in this, and Cruz is the detail man. We NEED BOTH!

Get with the program.

The same reason he said Carson was pathological. Trump likes to make crap up to scare people off of the other candidates. It’s what dishonest bullies do.

It's Cruz's time to go...(GOPe road map) next one up: Rubio, then take him down and then put Jeb! up and then take down Trump so Jeb! can hand the crown to Hillary....

But....

The GOPe isn't running this election...the American Voters are running this election...we can see what the GOPe, RINO base, lying media and talking heads are doing, it isn't working this time...

They are NOT going to shove down our throats a person who wants New World Order; CFR; TTP;TPA or H1B visas....isn't going to happen...

So think about what all these ‘online media outlets’ are pumping you up with, they can't get you by newspapers, they can't get a lot of us on T.V. and cable anymore, and the local news sucks, so here is where they are, feeding this lie and that lie...

You step into the ring, you’re gonna get hit.

We’re in a war here people, against a very entrenched, very well funded enemy. The Establishment, and all that entails. Playing nice is not an option.

So the Cruz/Rubio supporters are GOPe...I'll bet the Rubio supporters would not vote for Cruz if he was knocked out...They'd turn to Bush...If then Cruz and and then after Rubio are both knocked out of the race, the initial Cruz supporter then heads to Bush...

funny you wrote that, when Chump is elected and goes hard left we’ll see then if we’ve been invaded by DUmmies or remorseful people.
They honestly seem like the same Obola cult the last 2 elections.
All the chaos in the world and they see nor admit anything.

This is the core of Trump support. USA. USA. USA. Make America great again. Kick the globalists completely out of power in America and let them stew in the rest of the world like a bunch of 2nd tier candidates without the big dog bothering to show up on their stage. Until Europe wakes up (if ever again) America has to go it alone. Not a problem at all — with the right leadership.

Trump didn't bring up the issue, it was mentioned as an issue here in Texas and Trump belatedly weighed in on it when asked a direct question by a Journalist.

Why would you lie and say that this was some issue between Cruz and Trump?

Are you asserting that Trump caused this to be brought up during Cruz's senate campaign?

It's an issue and it is fair to bring it out.

If you bother to look at my posting history I have wanted Cruz since Walker went full bore amnestybot. But this is problematic.

As I have stated several times before, what I would like to see now is a Trump/Cruz ticket declared as the primaries progress, which would automatically combine their delegates for the first round of voting. Since Cruz would be in the VP slot it would not provide adequate grounds for delaying the certification of the election, hence no grounds for the party to nullify the first round of voting.

Putting Cruz in as Vice President would lay the groundwork for the President to rule specifically on the issue of whether or not someone who has held citizenship in another country can go on to be president or not (which if you look at the constitutional article and all of the statutes and case law is the issue) or not.

Were that to happen, The Supreme Court must either vet Cruz. ..or give Trump care blanche to start tossing out things Obama signed off on based on the uncontested fact of his having held Indonesian citizenship as a child, and having held Kenyan citizenship at birth. all completely bypassing to whether he was born in Kenya or in Hawaii.

Not sure if the two of them can swallow their egos and be a team though.
