Trump has made a very big issue of getting a judge to sign off on this issue for Cruz, for some time now.

Why?

The same reason he said Carson was pathological. Trump likes to make crap up to scare people off of the other candidates. It’s what dishonest bullies do.

Trump didn't bring up the issue, it was mentioned as an issue here in Texas and Trump belatedly weighed in on it when asked a direct question by a Journalist.

Why would you lie and say that this was some issue between Cruz and Trump?

Are you asserting that Trump caused this to be brought up during Cruz's senate campaign?

It's an issue and it is fair to bring it out.

If you bother to look at my posting history I have wanted Cruz since Walker went full bore amnestybot. But this is problematic.

As I have stated several times before, what I would like to see now is a Trump/Cruz ticket declared as the primaries progress, which would automatically combine their delegates for the first round of voting. Since Cruz would be in the VP slot it would not provide adequate grounds for delaying the certification of the election, hence no grounds for the party to nullify the first round of voting.

Putting Cruz in as Vice President would lay the groundwork for the President to rule specifically on the issue of whether or not someone who has held citizenship in another country can go on to be president or not (which if you look at the constitutional article and all of the statutes and case law is the issue) or not.

Were that to happen, The Supreme Court must either vet Cruz. ..or give Trump care blanche to start tossing out things Obama signed off on based on the uncontested fact of his having held Indonesian citizenship as a child, and having held Kenyan citizenship at birth. all completely bypassing to whether he was born in Kenya or in Hawaii.

Not sure if the two of them can swallow their egos and be a team though.
