Ass bites like this do ALL Veterans groups a huge disservice.

Its better not to donate to any of them rather than risk donating to groups like his or Wounded Warriors who waste money at the top end.

I bet the majority of vets he represents don’t feel this way. How selfish of him.

Well of course...

"On February 13, 2014, under Rieckhoff's leadership, IAVA lead to the creation, passage and signing into law of the historic Clay Hunt Suicide Prevention for America's Veterans (SAV) Act. The law was named after Marine CPL Clay Hunt, a sniper, IAVA member and personal friend of Rieckhoff and other IAVA leaders. Rieckhoff stood on stage with President Obama, Clay's mother, Susan and other national leaders for a signing ceremony at the White House." He's a DemBot.

I am glad that they did not want to be used a pawn by brave sir Trump as he runs away from the debate.

General Label there “Veterans Groups”. There’s nothing quite like finding a jerk who’s group I have never heard of and probably voted for Obama and saying he represents “Veterans Groups”.

This is the veteran’s group that Ben Affleck does commercials for. A liberal organization.

You do know that this Anti-Bush character is nothing more than a propagandist and, not a member of any legitimate veterans organization - correct?

A Message to Paul Rieckhoff: the troops aren’t props
Jonn Lilyea January 10, 2012

Paul Rieckhoff, the executive director of the Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans of America, has a piece in the Huffington Post today entitled “A Message to All Candidates: Our Troops Aren’t Props”, of course, his message is just for the Republican candidates, because he’s referring to the incident last week when Corporal Jesse Thorsen spoke at a Ron Paul rally.

Yeah, it’s definitely not his opinion. Because, when Rieckhoff came back from Iraq in 2004, it only took him a few weeks to criticize the president on the airwaves in the form of a rebuttal following Bush’s weekly presidential radio address for the Kerry campaign. He then formed the radically anti-Bush organization, OpTruth. The board of OpTruth included our old friends Ann Wright, Paul Bucha and Jesse Ventura.

As the 2008 elections drew closer, Rieckhoff realized that OpTruth was too radical to help the Democrats, so he morphed OpTruth into IAVA and took a more sober approach to politics. that’s when they hit on the idea to establish a scorecard system for rating Senators - not surprisingly, Democrats scored better on the IAVA scorecard in regards to veterans’ issues than did Republicans. Barbara Boxer scored better than John McCain, as did Barack Obama - you get the point.

http://thisainthell.us/blog/?p=28264

So Paul Rieckhoff, the founder of Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans of America, an organization which sprang from the anti-Bush group OpTruth, decided that he won’t accept any money from Trump. Trump didn’t offer any money to the IAVA, so I’m thinking that just by turning down the funds from Trump before the money is even offered to IAVA is a political stunt, the same kind that Rieckhoff is accusing Trump of perpetrating. IAVA is certainly not the only veterans’ organization, and Paul would only waste the money on advancing his own name anyway - that’s what he does best. I’m thinking that if Trump offered Rieckhoff a slot on celebrity Apprentice, Rieckhoff would trample pedestrians to get to the studio. If the money was offered by Hillary Clinton he’d waste half of it on a presentation ceremony.

By the way, why isn’t there any Democrat candidate offering money to veterans’ and wounded warrior issues?

Money is important to veterans and their issues which need fixing, does it matter where the money comes from? Really matter in The Great Scheme of Things? Many of us veterans are tired of being used by Paul Rieckhoff and his minions at IAVA for their political stunts.

Silly me! And I thought these wounded warrior groups were all about the wounded warriors . . . not a dhimmi hate group.

So he admitted his org is in it for the politics, not to help the vets they claim they are organized to help.

Jerk.

As a vet this is totally not the right thing to say. Because I would never donate a nickel to his organization now. I would rather find one that goes to the vets directly. What a damn fool.

Turn down the money, man
Your wounded vets can get along
Meanwhile, there are others who will benefit

The IAVA is small potatoes... Roughly 6 Mil. It’s probably not where The Donald would send the money anyway.

BTW, This joker is a staff columnist for the Huntington Post...

http://www.stripes.com/iava-attracts-the-spotlight-and-detractors-1.188171

In just eight years, IAVA has transformed itself from an upstart veterans organization to a lobbying heavyweight and media favorite. For many Americans not connected to the military, they’ve become the face not just of the current combat generation but of all veterans.

That infuriates their critics, who see IAVA as a small, unrepresentative sample of returning war heroes, a veterans group with an uncharacteristic liberal bent and a business model that emphasizes online communities over traditional outreach.
