Beck officially endorsed presidential candidate Ted Cruz on Saturday while at a rally at Faith Bible College in Iowa.
"We need a new George Washington," Beck said at the rally. "Today's Washington will not be found in the garish light of gold, but rather, in the bold service of a man who stands tirelessly for what he deeply believes — that government should be of the people, by the people, and for the people."
"I have prayed for the next George Washington," Beck said of Cruz. "I believe I have found him."

“It’s not somebody who’s got a lot of strip clubs and casinos. It’s a guy who stands on his principles relentlessly,” Beck said.
In his speech, which ripped into Donald Trump as much as it gushed about Cruz, Beck said Trump had to “apologize” to the conservative movement for being arrogant and self-centered and for clashing with the Tea Party.
“The man owes America an apology, and he should ask conservatives in America for forgiveness,” Beck said.
“George Washington?” Really?

Can Cruz recover from this endorsement? It’s not quite as bad as the praise from Bob Dole that Trump had to deal with, but it’s pretty bad.

Cruz is a good man, but Beck also found George Washington in Myth Romney. beck is a loon.

I like Cruz and feel sad for him. I thought the ad with his daughters was a good one. But this is like a parody, as if Beck is mocking him.
