Richard Viguerie and Brent Bozell aren’t Glen Beck.

Well, I was active in YAF in the 60’s. Got started with Ron Robinson in Buffalo. Have been a Conservative ever since.

I support Trump.

We are not electing the King of Conservatism. It is too late for that. America dies in November if the left wins.

Only Trump can defeat the left. Only Trump knows how to break the media stranglehold. Only Trump can create the pro-American narrative which will win.

I am truly sorry to say, the others just do not have the necessary leadership skills, skills which are almost absurdly unique given the leftist hegemony of American culture.

It would be wonderful to have a platonic dialogue worthy of Edmund Burke and Ludwig von Mises. Right now, we cannot afford that.

I've heard your argument before.

Its been regularly used to dismiss conservative candidates for populist and moderate ones for years now.

I will never compromise again.

*****************************************

It is not possible for you to have heard my argument before because the argument could not have been made before this election cycle.

You are confusing arguments, I believe. You are thinking of the argument which says that a Republican needs to appeal to the moderates to win.

That stupid argument is not my argument. My argument is that a Republican can win only if he can smash through the leftist media narrative, the relentless propaganda, and the false framing of issues which have baffled Republicans for years on the national level.

And my argument is that Trump has shown he can do that because he has done that. And my further argument is that none of the other candidates, regardless of how wonderful, have shown any ability to do that and are destined to lose to the dreary but effective media tactics which defeat Republicans.

Or do you have an example of any other current candidate who shows an aptitude to get heard outside the media narrative?

If I did not believe Cruz could I would not be supporting him.

The democrats are in disarray. They HAVE no message. I believe now is our last chance. Cruz was solicitor general, if anyone can make a compelling argument he can.

On the other hand, Trump has been so damn vague on just about everything who knows what he believes or will do. I can easily see this race being just like the CA governors race in '02 - the last opportunity to turn things around p*ssed away because a guy with star power and no principles stepped in. So we win and no progress is made - AGAIN.

No, I am going to go with the guy that most closely matches my own beliefs.

Besides, I'm not at all impressed with Trumps communication skills - he says the same damn thing every time I hear him - the same insults, the same vague promises, the same self promotion.

Truthfully, I think the democrats and their media allies are gonna utterly shred him before the general rolls around.

I’d trust my cat over any so called leaders.

Even if they were Glenn Beck, they’re correct in this — all of them!

You must be listening to him a lot, then.

I've watched all the debates, several rallies and hundreds of videos clips.

Just trying to keep informed.

"It's clear cut that you are either with the establishment or you are with Ted Cruz. That is the new reality. It is the Republican Party that has disdain for conservatives,"

Truth. It's not about some sort of weird political purity, it's about principles and worldview.

It’s called staying on message. Apparently it’s working.

For years conservatives have wanted A Real Conservative candidate. Now we have one in Ted Cruz. Thankfully those in the know recognize it.

Why should he deviate at this point?

I don’t expect he will. I was describing why I personally do not find him compelling.

Then I guess we respectfully disagree.

I see evidence of Trump’s amazing communications skills every day in spectacular ways.

He derailed the Clintons single-handedly. That has never been done before, especially because the media has always protected the Clintons. Trump all by himself bypassed that media protection.

Trump gets massive crowds literally day after day, all across the country. His message must be working somehow. How big are the crowds the other candidates get?

And btw, I follow the news very closely and cannot identify any particular thing the others are advocating, although I can identify the big problems they are having because of Trump (Bush:low energy; Hillary:might be indicted; Cruz:is he a citizen?; etc).

What Trump is advocating has him the subject of debate in England, to use one example. Have you heard about building the wall? Have you heard about trade with China? I think everyone has. Trump does that.

You and I see things differently. I see Trump running circles around everybody: media, opponents, GOPe, protestors. You don’t see that in Trump, which is just a different perception I guess.

But because I see Trump running circles around everyone, I see him winning against the media narrative which always baffles Republicans. Do you see any of the other Republicans running circles around anyone or anything?

Polls show Cruz beating Hillary and Trump losing to Hillary.

If you think Conservative Christians stayed home from the polls when Romney was the nominee, that’s nothing compared to what will happen if Trump is the nominee.
