Republican presidential front-runner Donald Trump is going after Glenn Beck for throwing his support behind GOP primary rival Ted Cruz, calling the conservative activist a "wacko" and a "lost soul."
Trump also said his endorsement from former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin trumps Cruz's endorsement from Beck.
"Wacko [Glenn Beck] is a sad answer to the [Sarah Palin] endorsement that Cruz so desperately wanted," Trump said in a tweet on Thursday. "Glenn is a failing, crying, lost soul!"
Beck announced on Tuesday that he would campaign with Cruz on Saturday in Iowa.
A longtime opponent of Trump, the Tea Party icon said he was disappointed in Palin's decision to endorse the billionaire businessman.
"I couldn't disagree with her more but she has played the game now for years," Beck wrote in a Facebook post on Tuesday. "Perhaps she knows more than those of us still on the outside."

I think the Beck endorsement was meant as a response to the Dole endorsement.
Trump would have hit Palin if she’d endorsed anyone else. He’s a bully.

Well, Glenn Beck IS a wacko. Not necessarily for supporting Ted Cruz, but he IS a wacko nonetheless.
Dole’s “endorsement” was weird. Dole has endorsed Jeb. Now, with things getting interesting in Iowa, Dole says Trump is a better choice than Cruz. That’s not exactly endorsing Trump, but it sure works that way!
Imagine if you will, what kind of “hits” Sarah Palin would be taking right now, from Trump, if she had endorsed Cruz.
If Trump is doing so well everywhere, and he’s so great, why is he worried who supports Cruz?

It’s going to be fun to watch all the conservatives who’ve trashed Beck for years (declaring him to be a neo-con, libertarian, insane, etc) - now suddenly declare him as a genius just because he’s endorsed Cruz!
There has probably been more condemnation of Glenn Beck from conservatives than from liberals, because they realize he’s as inconsequential as we consider someone like Ed Schultz to be.
I agree - Beck seems unhinged, vitriolic, off his meds. I cannot listen to him anymore.

Regardless, Trump is showing zero class. Every word a President or other high government official uses is important.
What Trump is showing is that he’s no different then Obama. Cross him and he will get you.
Isn’t he going to some events with Cruz? That’s what disappoints me.
Beck truly does over-rate his importance. At best he should have been a behind-the-scenes-advisor....you gotta be nutz to make him the face of your campaign.
One of the few things I think Cruz showed poor judgement on.
