Most Average New Yorkers and Most Average Americans, Reject Elite New York Values

Posted on 01/17/2016 9:15:21 AM PST by pinochet

Donald Trump would make a good president. And so would Ted Cruz. The elite limousine liberals in New York are laughing their @sses off, when they see the supporters of two great conservatives attacking each other.

Any intellectually honest supporter of Trump will acknowledge that Cruz was not attacking the average New Yorker. He was attacking New York's left-wing intellectuals, who have the reputation of being the most arrogant intellectuals on the face of the earth. Those elite intellectuals despise average New Yorkers, and they hate the New York Police Department. These intellectuals hate America, as much as the intellectuals of the University of California Berkeley, but they have much more national and global influence than the Berkeley intellectuals.

These are the columnists who write for the New York Times, the New Yorker, and other elitist publications in that city. Politicians who get elected in New York, have a tendency to seek to appease these elite intellectuals, rather than to represent the interests of those who elected them.

Average New Yorkers are actually more conservative than we are led to believe. New Yorkers voted for Nixon in 1972 and for Reagan in 1984. Pro-life candidates like former Sen. Alfonse D'Amato and Rep. Peter King, occasionally get elected to public office.

Unfortunately, average New Yorkers live in a state where left-wing intellectuals have too much power. Despite pretensions that they support free speech, these intellectuals have imposed a tyranny of political correctness on average New Yorkers who say critical things about gay behavior and late term abortion.

The average New Yorker, even one who claims to support gay marriage, would not want his son to become gay. In March 2015, the New York Senate rejected an expanded pro-abortion law:

The elite left-wing intellectuals of New York hate Donald Trump's proposals to restrict immigration, because it will reduce their supply of cheap maids. The supporters of Trump and Cruz should focus on bashing these elite intellectuals, who hate God and hate America, rather than bashing the two Republican candidates.

The values of average New Yorkers are good, pro-American values.

The values of elite left-wing New York intellectuals are filthy, disgusting, anti-God, and anti-American values.

Cruz should use more precise language in the future.

You go to Dallas or Houston, and it’s not much different than NYC.

If it is any consolation most conservatives and republicans are laughing their asses off watching Hillary get humiliated by a 70 something Sanders who looks like he will win Iowa and New Hampshire.

Those West of the Mississippi believe New York values are:

Secular
Pro-Abortion
Pro-gay marriage
Anti-Second Amendment
Support government regulation and interference in all aspects of our lives.

And “WE” disagree with all of those “values”.

Obvi those values run amok too in Seatlle, Portland, San Fran, LA, Albuquerque, Minneapolis and countless others. Let’s get over the NYC mistake and leave geography out of it from here on in.

Consider this....New York's current Governor is about as filthy as they come. The Mayor of NYC is an unapologetic Marxist. The state's House seats are, today, about two-thirds Rat.Both their Senators are slimy,flea-ridden Rats.In 2012 only two states,VT and HI,gave Osama Obama a bigger margin of victory than New York (63%).Assuming that Gubernatorial,Mayoral,House,Senate and Presidential elections are, considered together,a good (or even *very* good) indicator of a state's basic “morality quotient” then New York comes pretty close to bottom of the barrel.

Of course there are decent, respectable, admirable people living in New York State.Such people can even be found in New York City. But there can be little doubt that these people represent a small minority of the state's...and city's...population.

The big difference is that ultraleft elites in places like Dallas, Houston and Austin do not command a national audience.

Cruz made that reference because Trump used the New York culture as his excuse for supporting liberal NY values during a 1999 interview with Tim Russert

The phrase really should be New York City values, as it does not characterize the rest of the state.

Exactly. And Texan Cruz would have defended Texans from Dallas just as New Yorker Trump defended NY.

Really this is all about Cruz pulling the “Trump is a NY Liberal” card to win Iowa. Nothing more or less. We’ll see if it worked in a couple weeks.

20% turnout for the last election. So the numbers don’t mean much. Most of the conservatives already feel marginalized. I agree with major-pelham, lets get past this and leave the regional attacks go.

“The values of elite left-wing New York intellectuals are filthy, disgusting, anti-God, and anti-American values.”

Of course. Everyone knows Cruz is right.

Trump, sadly, is proving himself not trustworthy and of having poor judgement.

I don’t like what I’m seeing. He’s blowing it.
